But they were forced to face reality.
And that’s because a leading Democrat revealed the one ace Donald Trump has up his sleeve for 2024.
The conventional wisdom among the political establishment and the media is that Donald Trump’s Presidential campaign is doomed.
They believe the weight of four criminal indictments is too much for the former President to overcome.
Trump has a commanding lead in the Republican Primary and appears to be headed to a 2024 rematch with President Joe Biden.

Donna Brazile served as the Chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and as Al Gore’s Campaign Manager in the 2000 Election.
During a roundtable discussion on ABC’s This Week, she said that she’s “never seen anything like” the political movement Donald Trump has built.
Brazile told host George Stephanopoulos that Democrats shouldn’t dismiss Trump’s chances because of the indictments against him.
“I have to say something because, George, I’m old enough to say this,” Brazile said. “I’ve seen two movements outside of the social justice movements in my life on the political side. One was the Reagan movement. Reagan had a hold on his base. The country at large, they saw him as someone who was willing to stand up for American values, whatever that might have meant. Now I thought it was reactionary. The other movement I saw was Barack Obama: ‘Hope’ and ‘Change.’ That galvanized the American people.”
According to Brazile, Trump is a political force like she’s never seen before.
“I’ve never seen anything like this with Donald Trump,” Brazile continued. “I mean, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger? I mean, being convict… — I mean, being indicted, that’s making him stronger? Raising $10 million using an ugly mug shot to raise money? This is a movement.”
Trump parlayed his mugshot for the Fulton County indictment into the biggest fundraising haul of his Presidential campaign.
“And anyone who thinks that you can apply the old political rules to try to defeat this candidate based on, ‘He’s scary,’ ‘He’s ugly’ — whatever you might want to call him — this is a movement,” Brazile added. “And we have to respect the fact that it’s a movement.”
Trump’s loyal base is powering him to an overwhelming lead against his GOP challengers in the Primary and could return him to the White House.
ABC News stunned over Trump and Biden being tied in a poll
The Wall Street Journal released a new 2024 Presidential poll that found that Trump and Biden are tied at 46% nationally.
Trump’s indictments haven’t affected his poll numbers for a potential matchup against Biden.
“It is kind of shocking in a way that despite all of the baggage that Donald Trump carries, he’s tied with Joe Biden right now,” Stephanopoulos said.
“When I looked at that recent poll, the Wall Street Journal, I said, ‘this could keep me up at night,’” Brazile responded.
Donald Trump is headed into another down-to-the-wire race to return to the White House.
