Biden ally says blunder could put New Hampshire in play
It appears likely that Joe Biden is going to skip the New Hampshire Primary rather than incur the wrath of the DNC.
Representative Ro Khanna (D-CA) is committed to making sure Biden remains in the White House.
He warned that Biden skipping New Hampshire during the Primary “puts the General Election in the state at risk.”
“I believe 2024 is going to be a very close election and I’m on the President’s side 110%,” Khanna told Fox News Digital. “I will be supporting the President regardless of whether he’s on the ballot. I just think he should come up [to New Hampshire] and campaign.”
New Hampshire’s four electoral votes could be crucial in a Presidential election expected to come down to the wire.
Former President Donald Trump only lost the state by 2,700 votes in 2016 and Biden’s approval rating is underwater there.
Khanna said that “the four electoral votes in New Hampshire are going to matter and we certainly should be active in the Primary in the battleground states. It would be a mistake to allow [former President Donald] Trump and [Florida Governor Ron] DeSantis to suck all the oxygen and for us not to be making our case in key battleground states about the President’s re-election.”
Trump can begin building support for the General Election in New Hampshire during the Primary while Biden is nowhere to be seen.
