Joe Biden’s re-election campaign is already off to a rocky start.
His chances of staying in the White House are sinking like a brick.
And a top Clinton advisor is in panic mode over this disaster facing Democrats in 2024.
A recent New York Times-Siena College poll was a flashing red warning sign for Democrats about President Joe Biden’s potential rematch with Donald Trump in 2024.
Trump had an impressive lead over Biden in five of the six most important swing states in the election.
The former President had an eye-popping 10-point lead in Nevada, a six-point lead in Georgia, a four-point lead in Pennsylvania, and a five-point lead in both Michigan and Arizona.
Biden led Trump by two points in Wisconsin, which came down to the wire in 2016 and 2020.
Trump winning those crucial swing states would ensure he made a triumphant return to the White House.
Biden’s poll numbers are collapsing in a series of polls that have been released this fall.
The 80-year-old President looks like the most vulnerable Democrat incumbent heading into re-election since Jimmy Carter in 1980.
Members of the media melted down after the latest alarming poll for Biden.
Clinton advisor hits the panic button and calls poll “frightening” for Biden
ABC host George Stephanopoulos served as senior advisor to former President Bill Clinton and played a key role in his surprise 1992 victory.
Stephanopoulos and ABC’s Jonathan Karl were stunned at the results of the New York Times-Siena College poll and called its findings “frightening” on Good Morning America.
The former Clinton advisor turned journalist reluctantly admitted that the poll is “tough news for Joe Biden.”
“This is a wake-up call, this is frightening for not just the Biden White House, not just for Democrats, but for anybody who fears what a return to a Trump Presidency would mean,” Karl said. “He can win. The New York Times poll is not the first one to say this.”
Trump has opened up a 1.4-point lead over Biden in the RealClearPolitics polling average after trailing for most of the year.
He’s now polling better against Biden than at any point during the 2020 election.
“The biggest challenge for Biden is it’s not just that people have suddenly fallen in love with the idea of Trump going back to the White House,” Karl said. “They haven’t. It’s that only 23% of the country, in our poll, think the country is on the right track.”
According to a recent ABC News poll, a staggering 76% of Americans think that the country is headed in the wrong direction.
Karl panicked about the possibility of Trump using a potential second term to aggressively go after the Deep State and root out government corruption.
“There was a fascinating story consistent with my reporting in The Washington Post talking about how he wants to prosecute his political opponents. Not only his rivals,” Karl added. “This would be a very radical Trump Presidency, much more so than even the first one.”
Democrats thought that criminal indictments against Donald Trump would be the nail in the coffin of his Presidential campaign.
Instead, the former President is gaining momentum as the country goes down the tubes under Joe Biden’s failed leadership.
