The Democrat Party walked into a major trap.
Republicans could not believe their good fortune.
And a top Democrat used three words that caused Nancy Pelosi to do one shocking thing.
Republicans put forth a simple resolution to condemn socialism on the floor of the House of Representatives.
The resolution declared that the United States was “founded on the belief in the sanctity of the individual, to which the collectivistic system of socialism in all of its forms is fundamentally and necessarily opposed.”
The resolution also explained that “many of the greatest crimes in history” were committed by dictators Joseph Stalin, Vladimir Lenin, and Hugo Chavez, who killed tens of millions of innocents in the name of advancing the cause of global socialism.
This resolution enraged House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who ranted that condemning socialism was “phony, fake, and fraudulent.”
Jeffries stepped on a rake big time when he added that condemning socialism would undermine the Democrat Party agenda.
“They’re bringing to the floor of the House of Representatives today a resolution on socialism, to condemn some dictators that we all condemn. But understand the goal of this phony, fake, and fraudulent resolution is just to somehow provide cover for extreme MAGA Republicans to try to undermine an agenda that is designed to lift up the health, safety, and well-being of the American people,” Jeffries ranted.
100 Democrats then voted against the resolution or abstained from voting because they refused to condemn socialism.
But one of the Democrats who voted to condemn socialism was Nancy Pelosi.
Pelosi knows socialism is unpopular with the American people.
One of the main reasons socialism is so toxic politically in America is because of stories like those of California Republican Congresswoman Young Kim.
Kim grew up in South Korea, where she lived under the threat of the Communist North Korean regime regularly threatening war.
“As an immigrant who grew up in South Korea during the aftermath of the Korean War, I know firsthand the horror, the destruction, that socialism has brought to millions of families in the Korean Peninsula under the evil regime of the Kim dynasty to now, Kim Jong Un. Socialism divided my family and friends between North and South. My mother-in-law, for example, she crossed over the DMZ and back multiple times to rescue loved ones from the tyrannical North Korean regime, and tens of thousands of war-torn families remain separated till this day,” Kim declared.
Americans know socialism is evil.
And 100 Democrats refusing to condemn socialism because their leader admits it undermines the Party’s political agenda is something no one ever thought they would see.
