George Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is in deep trouble.
Bragg was the first Democrat prosecutor to weaponize the justice system to bring sham charges against Donald Trump.
And now Alvin Bragg just got put on notice with one huge warning.
Alvin Bragg invented a novel legal theory claiming Donald Trump falsified business records to cover up a nonexistent federal campaign finance law when Michael Cohen paid Stormy Daniels a $130,000 nondisclosure agreement settlement.
Bragg charged Trump with 34 felony counts in an indictment that even left-wing legal analysts dismissed as a weak case.
But Bragg has bigger problems on his hands.
The indictment was the first salvo in the Democrat Party’s scheme to weaponize the justice system to try, convict, and jail Trump before the 2024 election.
Polls show the American people think Joe Biden is a failed President who is too old to continue in office.
And polls also show Donald Trump tied with or leading Joe Biden.
The latest Wall Street Journal poll that showed Trump leading Joe Biden in a race with Green Party candidate Cornel West on the ballot and tied with him in a head-to-thread contest set off alarm bells on the Left.
Bragg and his fellow Democrat prosecutors Jack Smith and Fani Willis indicted Trump on the hopes that these charges would convince swing voters to stick with Biden out of the idea a convicted felon – even if the convictions were on bogus charges won by Democrat prosecutors in front of Democrat judges and handed down by Democrat juries – was disqualifying in the minds of Americans.
A new CNN poll shows that effort is failing.
CNN asked Republicans about all four criminal cases, and in each instance, at least 64 percent of Republicans said it had no bearing on Trump’s fitness for office.
“The poll published on Tuesday asked Republicans and right-leaning independents whether or not they believe the charges, ‘if true,’ in each of the four cases against Trump ‘should disqualify [him] from the presidency,’ ‘cast doubts on his fitness’ to serve but should not disqualify him, or if they are irrelevant to his fitness for the job. In each instance, at least 64 percent of respondents said the charges ‘Are not relevant to his fitness for the presidency,’” Breitbart reported.
Republicans viewed Bragg’s case as the weakest, with a paltry eight percent considering it disqualifying.
“Just eight percent believe the charges should be disqualifying, while 20 percent think they should cast doubts on his adequacy to serve. However, the overwhelming majority of 70 percent do not think the case has any bearing on his fitness for office,” Breitbart also reported.
Republicans can see all these indictments are attempts at election interference.
These charges would never have been brought against Trump had he not been running for President.
General Election polls show Trump with a good chance at defeating Biden.
And what worries Democrats is the fact that they know swing voters realize this truth as well.
