Bill O’Reilly revealed the real reason Donald Trump picked Matt Gaetz

Donald Trump stunned the Washington, D.C. Swamp by picking Matt Gaetz as his Attorney General.

Conspiracy theories abound across the media about why Trump would make such an unconventional selection.

And Bill O’Reilly revealed the real reason Donald Trump picked Matt Gaetz.

Trump’s selection of Matt Gaetz rocks the Washington, D.C. Swamp

When Trump picked Matt Gaetz to run the Justice Department, the media floated theories that Trump used Gaetz as a sacrificial lamb, knowing the Senate would shoot down Gaetz so they would be forced to accept Trump’s real selection to run the Justice Department.

Left-wing NBC political analyst Chuck Todd theorized that Trump wanted to test the limits of his mandate following his landslide election win.

“Remember. Loyalty is one way for Trump. He’s likely using Gaetz & RFK jr. as sacrificial lambs to test Senate GOP. Testing the electric fence a la Jurassic Park. He’ll pivot and cut Gaetz and RFK loose but only after he’s learned how far he can bend Senate’s will,” Todd wrote on X.

This was all nonsense.

Bill O’Reilly’s known Donald Trump for more than 30 years.

O’Reilly understands Trump better than anyone.

And it wasn’t hard to see what was going on.

O’Reilly wrote on his website that when Donald Trump won in 2016 he was a newcomer to politics.

As such, Trump relied on more experienced hands to provide staffing recommendations for his administration.

This led to disaster as establishment figures looking to constrain Trump – such as General James Mattis, Rex Tillerson, Bill Barr, and John Kelly – ended up staffing key posts and undermining Trump at every turn.

O’Reilly explained that Trump knows all the players now and feels confidence in making his own staffing hires.

“The Trump administration is being set up to quickly advance the President’s vision in all areas.  Eight years ago, Donald Trump was unsure of himself as he prepared to take power from Barack Obama.  Now he’s confident, maybe even too self-assured,” O’Reilly wrote.

Trump looks to correct first term mistakes

O’Reilly said picking Gaetz as Attorney General is a “giant middle finger” to the Justice Department.

Gaetz – O’Reilly wrote – isn’t just going to nibble around the edges of reform.

The Justice Department carried out the Russia collusion hoax and Joe Biden’s demand that Donald Trump die in prison.

O’Reilly wrote that Trump wants Gaetz as Attorney General because Gaetz will burn the status quo to the ground.

“Selecting Matt Gaetz as Attorney General is a giant middle finger to the Justice Department.  Gaetz will be a wrecking ball in there, pretty much dismantling the entire apparatus.  He’ll nuke the swamp rather than just drain it.” O’Reilly wrote.

RINOs are already working to derail Gaetz’s confirmation.

The establishment recycled a debunked conspiracy that the Biden-Harris Justice Department and FBI used to smear Gaetz.

O’Reilly wondered if the public airing of false allegations that Gaetz slept with a minor would be good for the country.

“But the Florida Congressman will have a tough time in the confirmation process, and the Senate is not a lock to hire him.  The media will crucify Gaetz, and things will get bloody fast.  Here’s the question: does the country need that kind of exposition?” O’Reilly added.

O’Reilly wrote that one thing was clear, however.

And that was the fact that Trump intended to right the wrongs of his first term and hold the villains who weaponized the Justice Department against him accountable.

“It is clear to me that President Trump will charge into the White House with a fierce payback attitude.  That can be good because villains abound.  But on the other hand, vast power is never easy to control,” O’Reilly concluded.
