Every time Chuck Schumer thinks he’s closed one door on the GOP in the 2022 Midterms, a new door opens.
One seat is all Republicans need in the Senate to send Schumer back to the minority.
And now the Senate Majority Leader is shaking in his loafers as this MAGA Senate candidate turns a new blue seat competitive.
No margin for error this cycle
President Joe Biden, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer are hanging on to their respective leadership positions by the skin of their teeth.
President Biden entered the White House after a contentious election and less than halfway through his term, he’s been so bad a majority of his own party doesn’t want him to run for re-election.
Republicans need to net just five seats this November and Nancy Pelosi will have the gavel pried from her skeleton-like grip.
And things are even worse for Schumer.
The GOP needs to have a net pickup of just a single seat to give them control and demote Schumer to the minority.
With the November election fast-approaching – for most of the cycle, there was a general consensus about which states featured the most competitive Senate races.
All eyes have been focused on Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
But every time Schumer turns around, another one of his incumbents is in trouble.
From Colorado to Washington, Republicans keep putting more blue seats in play.
Now you can add New Hampshire to the list.
Will New Hampshire go red in 2022?
Democrats didn’t think they would have to spend much money playing defense in the Granite State.
Incumbent Republican Governor Chris Sununu declined to run for the Upper Chamber, opting to instead seek re-election – leaving the GOP with what was considered by political prognosticators to be a weak field.
And then the Trump-endorsed candidate shocked the world and knocked off the establishment-backed candidate in a massive upset.
Cue the corporate-controlled media blaring the trumpets that Republican Primary voters just cost the party any chance it had of flipping purple New Hampshire.
However, the latest poll out of the Granite State suggests otherwise.
According to the Trafalgar survey, the Live Free or Die State is very much in play.
In fact, the survey says incumbent Democrat Sen. Maggie Hassan only holds a slim 3-point lead over Republican nominee and retired United States Army Brigadier General, Don Bolduc.
Making matters worse for Hassan and Democrats, New Hampshire has a late primary, and Bolduc was in a bloody primary fight until recently – he just placed his first general election campaign ad buys earlier this week, meaning Hassan has only just started to be hit by the MAGA candidate.
Newt Gingrich noticed the poll and went a step further, predicting Bolduc will unseat Hassan next month.
