CNN broke one piece of terrible news to Joe Biden that will drive Democrats to tears

May 29, 2024

Joe Biden and Donald Trump are a little over five months away from election day.

But it’s Biden who continues to see the walls closing in.

And CNN broke one piece of terrible news to Joe Biden that will drive Democrats to tears.

Media tries to invent negative narrative surrounding Donald Trump

The latest Marquette University poll showed Donald Trump leading Joe Biden nationally and winning 51 percent of the vote.

Swing state polls from the Cook Political Report show Trump beating Biden in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

Other polls show traditional blue states such as New Hampshire, Virginia, and Minnesota in play for Trump to win.

And in the month of April, Trump and the Republican National Committee outraised Joe Biden and the Democrat National Committee by $25 million, $76 million, and $51 million.

There is no metric available to present any good news for Biden.

In the absence of real silver linings, the media sought to concoct a fake story about Donald Trump struggling to unite the GOP because about 20 percent of voters cast a ballot for Nikki Haley even though she dropped out of the race months ago.

Biden supporters in the media hoped they could will this story into existence, which would force Trump off his message about Biden’s failures on the border and inflation to instead waste his time answering questions about a fractured GOP.

The ultimate hope being that voters would believe this phony story is real and then stop supporting Trump.

An example would be the story the left-wing political gossip site POLITICO ran after the Indiana primary with the headline “Unexpected warning signs for Trump in busy Indiana primary” due to the fact that Haley won 21 percent of the vote.

CNN debunks this fake news

Political observers understood this was a fake story because the idea a candidate would win 100 percent of the vote with other names still on the ballot is nothing but ridiculous goal post moving.

And of all media outlets, it was CNN that obliterated this bogus narrative.

“I think the rhetoric over this protest vote . . . is a little bit overblown,” CNN data analyst Harry Enten said on the air.

Enten explained that compared to past nominees running against “zombie opponents” – candidates who dropped out of the race but still appeared on the ballot – Donald Trump’s 2024 performance was the strongest of any non-incumbent candidate this century, as he was winning more than 80 percent of the vote.

“So I want to take a look back through history. Performance after opponents dropped out. These are non-incumbents in presidential primaries … Mitt Romney was getting about 71% of the votes after his opponents dropped out, Donald Trump back in 2016, 74%, Joe Biden last time 77%. The one who‘s actually getting the highest share after his opponents dropped out is actually Donald Trump this time around with 81%,” Enten stated.

Contrary to the media narrative, Donald Trump consolidated a greater percentage of his party than any other non-incumbent.

“This is actually a very strong performance for a non-incumbent after his opponents dropped out. The protest vote is actually at a historic low. So yeah, Nikki Haley, sometimes getting north of 20% of the vote in these primaries. But that’s not unusual. What is unusual . . . is she’s not doing it all over the place. Donald Trump’s actually running historically strong for a non-incumbent in a presidential primary after his opponents drop out,” Enten continued.

Joe Biden is the candidate with problems

As usual, the media was lying.

Enten explained to CNN viewers that the conventional wisdom about Donald Trump was false.

“Everyone’s saying that Donald Trump’s doing weak, weak, weak,” Enten added.

In reality, Joe Biden was the one with the big problems as Biden’s Primary vote totals for an incumbent President were the lowest since 1992.

1992 stood out – Enten reminded the audience – because that was the year Bill Clinton defeated incumbent President George H.W. Bush.

“It‘s actually Joe Biden in my mind in the primaries, that’s doing weak, weak, weak at least relative to history because right now he‘s getting 87% of that primary vote for an incumbent. But that’s actually the lowest . . . for any candidate since George H.W. Bush back in 1992 when Pat Buchanan challenged him, and of course, we all remember, at least I remember, that George H.W. Bush lost reelection in the fall to Bill Clinton,” Enten concluded.

The poll-obsessed media also ignores their own data.

A recent New York Times/Siena University poll of six battleground states found Trump winning 92 percent of Republicans, while Joe Biden could count on the support of 88 percent of Democrats.

Not surprisingly, Trump led Biden in five of the six battlegrounds.

Survey after survey shows Trump winning a higher percentage of Republicans than Biden does Democrats.

Those results make sense if you look at the Primary results and see Trump showing historic strength and Joe Biden displays historic weakness.
