CNN warned Kamala Harris about this disturbing polling data

Sep 26, 2024

The media wants Kamala Harris to win the 2024 election.

CNN is at the front of that pack.

But now CNN warned Kamala Harris about this disturbing polling data.

New CNN poll shows troubling numbers for Kamala Harris

CNN’s latest poll left Democrats with an uneasy feeling in the pit of their stomach.

The topline horse race number showed Kamala Harris and Donald Trump tied at 47 percent.

That was bad enough for Democrats and their allies in the media.

Members of the media spent two weeks declaring that Kamala Harris thrashed Donald Trump in the ABC debate on September 10.

That led to punditry about how Kamala Harris would see a major bounce coming out of the debate that would set her on a track for victory on November 5.

Now CNN’s latest poll showed that was a pipedream, and voters watched a totally different debate than pundits, one where the standout moment was likely Kamala Harris being unable to say Americans were better off now than they were four years ago.

But the poll showing Trump tied with Kamala Harris coming out of the debate wasn’t even the worst news in the poll.

CNN dug into the internal numbers and found major flashing red lights that portend trouble for Kamala Harris down the stretch.

Kamala Harris polling behind Joe Biden’s numbers with Hispanic voters

The exit polls in 2020 showed Joe Biden beat Donald Trump by 75 points with black voters and 33 points with Latino voters.

CNN’s Brianna Keilar brought CNN political director David Chalian on to dig into the shocking findings of how Kamala Harris is running far behind Joe Biden’s margins with black and Hispanic voters.

“There are some alarming numbers in here for her if she is looking to . . . really edge out, he’s got such an advantage with white voters, she’s looking to broaden her support with minority voters,” Keilar stated. “What is, what are you seeing here?”

Chalian explained to viewers that the CNN poll showed Kamala Harris beating Trump by 63 points with black voters and just 19 points with Hispanics.

“Obviously she has, according to our latest poll today, a 63 percentage point advantage with black voters versus Trump. That’s obviously huge. But look, Joe Biden had a 75 percentage point advantage in the 2020 exit poll,” Chalian replied. “So she’s not performing at the same level of margin as Joe Biden was four years ago when he was successful. Similar story among Latino voters, she has a healthy 19 percentage point advantage over Trump with Latino voters in our poll, but Joe Biden had a 33 point advantage.”

Elections are about margins.

Winning candidates run up the score with their core voting groups and hold down their opponents margins with their base.

The CNN poll shows Donald Trump is halfway to that goal by keeping down Kamala Harris’ margins with two core Democrat Party constituencies.

And now what Donald Trump needs to do to secure victory is really supercharge his turnout among white working class voters.
