They watch MSNBC because they know they will receive daily affirmations about why they should hate Donald Trump.
That’s why Democrats are going to hate what MSNBC just admitted about Donald Trump.
MSNBC commentator Tim Miller let down his audience of left-wing fanatics by throwing cold water on the idea of using Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to kick Donald Trump off the ballot in 2024.
After Donlad Trump won the 2016 GOP Presidential nomination, Democrats and their allies in the Deep State launched one attack after another on him in an attempt to subvert democracy.
The Russian-collusion hoax, the two sham impeachments, and the weaponization of the justice system were all designed to short circuit the ability of the American people to exercise their right to pick their leaders.
But with polls showing Donald Trump could very well win a second term, the anti-Trump forces cooked up a final, desperate scheme to end American democracy.
The latest fad on the Left and among Never-Trump RINOs is a fringe legal theory advocated by Harvard Law Professor Lawrence Tribe and former federal judge Michael Lutting.
These Trump haters claim Section 3 of the 14th Amendment disqualifies him from appearing on the ballot since it bars anyone who engaged in an “insurrection” or “rebellion” against the government.
Congress ratified this Amendment after the Civil War and the words “insurrection” and “rebellion” had very specific meanings, none of which applied to Donald Trump.
But Democrat Secretaries of State in Michigan and Arizona have already admitted they are considering this scheme.
This will lead to an unprecedented assault on democracy, as some Democrat election officials will eventually move to unilaterally remove Trump’s name from the ballot.
In an appearance on MSNBC, Miller warned the idea of partisan Democrat election officials removing Trump’s name from the ballot would take America to a dark place and that Republicans would retaliate in kind.
“It would feel a little less political, but I just think as a practical matter, regardless of what you think about the legal merits of this argument, I think there are a lot of things that would very much work in the disfavor of our democracy. I think the response on the Right would be apoplectic. There are a lot of Secretaries of State who are Republicans who aren’t going to do this, obviously. So I don’t think it’s practically going to work,” Miller stated.
“I do dislike this argument that comes from many on the Right, which is just like, ‘Don’t force us to be with President Trump by nominating weak Joe Biden and by doing things to hold Trump accountable.’ I hate those kinds of arguments you see from the Wall Street Journal and other places, but I do think the 14th Amendment thing is kind of wishcasting,” Miller added.
If Democrats were the stalwart defenders of democracy that they claim to be – or if Trump was as unelectable as many in the media argue – then they would try and defeat him at the ballot box.
But leftists don’t believe their rhetoric on either front.
And that is why the Left decided it would rather risk burning democracy to the ground than allowing Trump to win a second term.
