After losing the majority in the House of Representatives for the second time in 12 years, Nancy Pelosi knew it was time to throw in the towel.
“For me, the hour has come for a new generation to lead the Democratic caucus that I so deeply respect, and I’m grateful that so many are ready and willing to shoulder this awesome responsibility,” Pelosi said in a speech on the House floor announcing that she was stepping down from leadership.
The choice for Pelosi’s successor was simple for Democrats and they unanimously selected New York Representative Hakeem Jeffries as the new Minority Leader.
“Leadership is incredibly important,” Jeffries stated upon ascending to the position of Democrat Leader in the House of Representatives. “When we get an opportunity as diverse leaders to serve in positions of consequence, the most meaningful thing we can do in that space is an incredibly good job.”
The media is focused on the wrong part of Jeffries’ story
The corporate-controlled media predictably focused on Jeffries being the first black American to lead one of the major parties in Congress.
But woke activists in the press honed in on identity politics because they want to ignore the fact that the Democrats picked an election denier as their leader in Congress.
Jeffries was one of the liars who falsely claimed Donald Trump and the Russians conspired to steal the 2016 election.
The New York Democrat attacked confidence in American elections by calling the 2016 contest “fake” and declaring Donald Trump a “fake” President.

But by picking Jeffries as their leader, Democrats revealed their so-called “concern” about attacks on democracy and accepting the results of elections is nothing more than cheap political theater.
