There is no doubt the radical Left despises Ron DeSantis.
And they get more and more upset every time America’s Governor speaks.
That’s why Democrats were really seeing red when Ron DeSantis kicked off his new term as Governor with this quote.
While the “red wave” may not have materialized in most of the country, in Florida it was a red tidal wave.
The leadership and clear conservative message from Governor Ron DeSantis is showing the rest of the GOP what winning looks like.
Results matter
And more importantly Florida shows that doing what you say and sticking to the conservative philosophy are a winning combination.
As Governor DeSantis said in his swearing-in speech, “Florida shows that results matter.”
DeSantis used his speech to say that Florida must always “be a great place to raise a family.”
The newly reelected DeSantis, who won his reelection in a blowout victory, also said during the ceremony that “freedom lives here in our great state of Florida.”
DeSantis added that is the reason so many Americans are moving to Florida and fleeing states like New York and California.
It turns out that people actually like freedom and politicians who do what they say they are going to do.
The land of liberty and sanity
“It lives in the wisdom of our senior citizens. It lives in the dreams of the historic number of families who have moved from states across this country because they saw Florida as the land of liberty and the land of sanity,” DeSantis continued.
And he appealed to the voters to see the difference between Florida and many other states, especially when it comes to personal liberty.
“Over the past few years as so many states in our country grinded their citizens down, we in Florida lifted our people,” he stated.
“We face attacks, we take hits, but we weather the storms. We stand our ground, and we do what’s right. As the book of Psalms reminds us, ‘I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side,’” DeSantis said, appealing to scripture as he usually does in his speeches.
Not here by words but by deeds
And that paragraph underscores both why people are flocking to Florida by the thousands, and why DeSantis has become arguably the most popular and effective elected Republican in the nation.
“We have refused to use polls and to put our finger in the wind. Leaders do not follow. They lead. We have articulated a vision for a free and prosperous state. We have, through persistence and hard work, executed on that vision,” DeSantis went on. “We have produced favorable results and now we are here today because the people of Florida have validated our efforts in record fashion.”
“We lead not by mere words, but by deeds. Four years ago we promised to pursue a bold agenda. We did just that and we have produced results,” he said listing a number of policy victories.
DeSantis further explained that Florida leads the nation because his administration has produced results.
“We are number one in these United States and net in migration. We are the nation’s fastest growing state. We are number one in new business formations. We are number one in tourism. We are number one in economic freedom. We ranked number one in education freedom, and we ranked number one in parental involvement in education,” DeSantis proudly stated.
“We will be on our guard. We will stand firm in the faith. We will be courageous, we will be strong, and we thank God and are proud to be citizens of the great free state of Florida,” he said.
Imagine that – an elected official who sticks to principle, keeps his promises, and is not afraid to offend the radical Left by quoting scripture.
