Donald Trump could make this surprising pick for his 2024 running mate

Apr 20, 2023

Donald Trump looks like he’s on a collision course for the Republican nomination.

He’s facing a major decision about who could join him on the ticket.

And Donald Trump could make this surprising pick for his 2024 running mate.

According to polling, former President Donald Trump appears to have the inside track on winning the Republican nomination.

Winning the nomination would leave him with the task of picking a new running mate to join him on the ticket.

Former Vice President Mike Pence won’t be back for a third time after the two had a falling out over the events of January 6.

Even before Trump announced his latest Presidential bid, rumors were swirling about who might pick as a running mate.

Trump said several candidates were lining up for the job.

“A lot of people are right now auditioning,” Trump told his supporters in February.

Of course, becoming Trump’s running mate would be a shot in the arm to the political career of anyone who gets the job.

Since Trump only has one term left in office, whoever he picks would instantly become a front runner for the Republican nomination in 2028.

Rumors are that Trump is strongly thinking about picking a woman as his running mate to shore up his weakness with female voters, especially suburban white women.

Trump could pick a Congresswoman as his Vice President

Elise Stefanik (R-NY) is the third ranking Republican in the House and a strong supporter of the former President.

She was the first member of Republican leadership to endorse Trump for 2024.

The Trump campaign is reportedly eyeing her to become his running mate because she matches the characteristics they’re looking for in a Vice President.

Stefanik’s loyalty to Trump could be a major factor in the former President’s decision.

She backed him during both impeachment hoaxes and in the current criminal indictment by the rogue Manhattan District Attorney.

Trump insiders say that loyalty is the most important quality for any potential running mate.

“Loyalty. That’s the necessary characteristic of anyone who wants to be VP. President Trump and the movement was dragged down by disloyalty in the White House,” a source close to Trump told The Daily Caller.

The telegenic 38-year-old New York Congresswoman could be an effective campaign surrogate with women voters.

“I see no better fit than Elise Stefanik, but the President will take his own counsel,” Trump advisor Mike Caputo said.

Caputo added that Stefanik is a “young, dynamic, really bright, and engaging” fighter in the mold of Trump.

Stefanik is “TV ready,” a quality sought by the Trump campaign after her increasing number of media appearances since joining Republican leadership.

“She absolutely has more, let’s just call it ‘testicular fortitude’ than most men in the Republican Party,” Caputo said. “She’s got more balls than any other candidate that might be considered for Vice President.”

Caputo predicted that Stefanik could be an effective surrogate for Trump on the campaign trail and could distance herself from some of the problems surrounding the former President.

Of course, conservatives would not be happy if Trump picked Stefanik as his running mate.

After all, she worked in the Bush administration and was a Paul Ryan acolyte.

In Congress, she voted to grant special rights to transgenders that allowed biological males to use the women’s bathroom, she voted for gun control, and she voted for amnesty 14 times.

Donald Trump could definitely do better than Stefanik.

Other potential candidates include Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake.

Donald Trump’s pick for Vice President could help shape the race and give his campaign a crucial boost.
