Donad Trump is running for reelection on a promise to be “your retribution.”
Trump has one particular target in mind.
Donald Trump has one secret plan that will destroy the Deep State.
The FBI fed into the Russian-collusion hoax, and the Deep State moved to impeach Trump the first time after the establishment panicked over his America First foreign policy.
Trump campaigned in 2016 on a pledge to bring decades of endless wars in the Middle East to a close and oppose new wars with Russia over Syria and Ukraine.
Another pillar of Trump’s foreign policy was his criticism of the outdated NATO alliance.
The vast majority of the Never-Trumpers who defected to the Democrat Party were the very same warmongers who lied America into the Iraq debacle and kept troops in Afghanistan for 20 years.
War is the life blood of the Deep State and one of the financial engines that keeps the Swamp humming.
In a second term, Trump is looking at pulling America out of the NATO alliance that Joe Biden uses as an excuse to escalate his war with Russia over Ukraine.
“Trump, the sources say, has continued to express an openness to pulling the U.S. out of NATO altogether. However, Trump has suggested that this could be averted if the alliance — which Trump once famously called ‘obsolete’ — gives in to his newest demands. This would include his desires for non-American members to further and steeply increase their defense spending, and for a reevaluation of the bedrock principle that an attack on one member is tantamount to an attack on all,” Rolling Stone exclusively reported.
Trump also wants to pull out of NATO or scale back America’s involvement due to its Article 5, which states that an attack on one member state is an attack on the entire alliance.
During his term in office, Trump routinely railed against the idea of committing America to war over countries like Latvia or Estonia.
“When he was in office, Trump would repeatedly scoff at this collective-defense clause of the North Atlantic Treaty, known as Article 5. One former senior administration official recalls to Rolling Stone a moment in the Oval Office in mid-2018 when the then-president started reading from a written list of smaller NATO countries, some of which he argued most Americans had never even heard of before,” Rolling Stone also reported.
The Center for Renewing America’s Dr. Sumantra Maitra put some meat on the bone for Trump’s plan to withdraw from NATO in a paper entitled “PIVOTING THE US AWAY FROM EUROPE TO A DORMANT NATO.”
Dr. Maitra argued that NATO’s organizing principle – a collective European defense against the Soviet Union – no longer held since the Soviet Union had broken apart by 1991.
Instead, a recent NATO strategy document showed the alliance drifted in search of a new enemy by stating its updated objectives were to stop terrorism and combat climate change.
Dr. Maitra wrote that NATO listed as a top threat the “persistent threat(s) of terrorism, in all its forms and manifestations. Pervasive instability, rising strategic competition, and advancing authoritarianism challenge the Alliance’s interests and values.”
“Finally, NATO argues that climate change is a defining threat of our times, as a crisis and threat multiplier, because it enhances instability,” Dr. Maitra added.
Donald Trump’s America First foreign policy is at odds with the globalist vision of America integrated into the international institutions that subvert American sovereignty.
In Trump’s first term, pro-NATO and pro-globalist forces weaseled their way into the administration and thwarted his wishes.
That doesn’t look to be the case in a potential second Trump term.
