Donald Trump held this top-secret meeting about the Vice President

Donald Trump will officially clinch the GOP nomination for President within a matter of weeks.

That means it’s game on for the General Election.

And Donald Trump held this top-secret meeting about the Vice President.

Donald Trump meets at Mar-a-Lago with Governor Kristi Noem

In an interview with Laura Ingraham, Donald Trump confirmed that South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem was on his shortlist of Vice-Presidential candidates.

The interest in picking Noem may be higher than anyone thought, as the Daily Caller’s Henry Rodgers reported that she traveled to Mar-a-Lago for a private meeting with Trump.

Noem was one of the few Governors in America who refused to issue a lockdown order during the COVID pandemic.

Noem uses CPAC speech to audition for Vice Presidential role

Noem was one of the many Republicans who used their stage time at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) to make their case to be Trump’s running mate.

The South Dakota Governor questioned why any Republican thought they could challenge Trump for the nomination when polls and grassroots support made it obvious that he was the inevitable nominee.

“We’ve known that for over a year he’s the only person who’s got the support to be the Republican nominee. So why did all these other people and candidates get into the race? For themselves? For personal benefit? For a spotlight for a period of time?” Noem wondered. “We need a fighter, someone who doesn’t give up and who has never quit on us, so don’t you quit on him.”

One of Trump’s main criteria for picking a running mate will be loyalty to him and his agenda.

Noem boasted about how she was one of the first elected Republicans to endorse Trump’s candidacy.

“I was one of the first people to endorse Donald J. Trump to be our President. Last year, when people were asking me whether I would be running for President, I said ‘No, why would you run for President if you can’t win?’” Noem declared.

“For me, there is no going back. I’m all in and you need to be too,” Noem said, before telling the crowd that “[w]e need to look for our leaders outside of the Swamp. Nobody turns to D.C. for the solutions. Nothing meaningful gets accomplished. It is Governors who have had to lead, and I have seen Governors make bad decisions and devastate their states.”

Trump is in no rush to pick a running mate.

Other contenders, like Florida Congressman Byron Donalds, New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, Vivek Ramaswamy, and former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, will also get their turn in the spotlight.
