Vivek Ramaswamy is a little-known political outsider running for the Republican Presidential nomination in 2024.
The biotech executive from Ohio has been making relatively large gains in recent polling.
And Donald Trump is happy that Vivek Ramaswamy is doing well in the polls for this obvious reason.
Ramaswamy continues to see growing poll numbers as he focuses on Trump-era policies
Vivek Ramaswamy is a political outsider running for the Republican nomination for President in 2024. His attempts to rebrand Donald Trump’s messaging have proven to be a good tactic, as he just topped 5 percent for the first time in the polls.
He’s a vocal critic of all the woke politics and radical gender ideologies that the Left has become so enamored with. He wants to see America exit this dystopian political landscape and restore freedom and prosperity to all hard-working Americans.
Ramaswamy said that “faith, patriotism, hard work, and family” have been removed from American life, causing big problems for our country. He said that the people are “hungry for a cause…purpose…and we’re hungry for media identity.”
He said Americans should be focused on the “basic principles” that unite the country.
Trump praises Ramaswamy and suggests he will soon catch up with DeSantis
Ramaswamy has modeled his policy proposals after former President Trump’s America First agenda. He said he would take Trump’s policies to a higher level and described his agenda as “America First 2.0.” Now he’s receiving well-earned recognition from the former President himself.
Earlier this month, Trump congratulated his opponent in a post on Truth Social. He said that he is “pleased to see that Vivek Ramaswamy is doing so well in the most recent Republican Primary Poll, CBS YouGov. He is tied with Mike Pence, and seems to be on his way to catching Ron DeSanctimonious.”
Trump went on to say that “the thing I like about Vivek is that he only has good things to say about ‘President Trump,’ and all that the Trump Administration has so successfully done—This is the reason he is doing so well. In any event, good luck to all of them, they will need it!”
Ramaswamy has taken a lot of good talking points from Trump, but his most valuable ones are border security and immigration.
Ramaswamy said he will replace the cartels as the “sugar daddy” for the Mexican government
The border was an important talking point for the Trump campaign in 2016, and after two years of Joe Biden dismantling border security, it’s still a very valuable topic. This hasn’t been lost on Ramaswamy, who promised an end to the escalating border crisis and the drugs that are pouring into the country.
He promised to work hand-in-hand with Mexican President Andrés Obrador to eliminate the cartels’ stranglehold on the neighboring country and the border. He said that he will take major action on the border from day one to end the crisis.
I’ll call President Obrador on day 1 with a message: we’ll arm you to decimate the drug cartels pumping fentanyl across our border. The cartels may be your sugar daddy now, but there’s a new daddy in town. If you don’t do it, we’ll do it for you. Your choice. America First 2.0 🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/4m0T8DhLMr

Ramaswamy tweeted in February that he would supplant the cartels’ influence in Mexico. “I’ll call President Obrador on day 1 with a message: we’ll arm you to decimate the drug cartels pumping fentanyl across our border. The cartels may be your sugar daddy now, but there’s a new daddy in town.”
He said that America could eliminate the cartels “for a tiny fraction of the money we’ve already spent to date in Ukraine.”
And “it wouldn’t even be that hard,” he added.
