Donald Trump just dropped a truth bomb on this New York politician and her witch hunt

Sep 23, 2022

Many politicians have ridden into office on the coattails of former President Donald Trump.

Some Republicans promised to be like Trump, and many more Democrats promised to take him down.

But now the 45th President of the United States is dropping a truth bomb on a woman who has made her entire career one big effort to put Trump behind bars.

Letitia James’ Trump witch hunt

New York Attorney General Letitia James is most known for her mission to bring down Donald Trump.

While running to be the Empire State’s top prosecutor in 2018, James made taking out Trump the centerpiece of her campaign.

To put it in a national perspective, James’ vendetta against the 45th President of the United States rivals that of Liz Cheney’s.

James has filed a lawsuit against the Trump Organization and held two grand juries against the former President.

She was quick to jump on the bandwagon following the FBI and Department of Justice raid of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.

James is investigating Trump for things as small as utility bills – all on the dime of New York taxpayers.

She’s rejected settlement offers and even targeted the former President’s family and former associates, like Steve Bannon.

“We will use every area of the law to investigate President Trump and his business transactions and that of his family as well,” James said while campaigning for office.

Trump fires back

But now, the former President is letting everyone know what he thinks of Attorney General James – and he’s not pulling any punches.

In a sit-down interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News Channel, Trump was asked about his reaction to the Big Apple Attorney General’s seemingly never-ending witch hunt against him.

“She campaigned on it four-years ago, and it was a vicious campaign,” Trump said. “She just talked about Trump, ‘we’re going to indict him, we’re going to get him.’ She knew nothing about me, I’d never heard of her . . . we’ve been going over this for years.”

Trump said given the high ratings and clean standing of his company, he never thought she’d bring a case.

But she brought that case anyway, and the former President believes it was to get a small settlement and a victory on her resume.

“I had a problem, because how do you pay something, even if it’s a small amount of money, if you’re not guilty,” Trump continued. “This was the continuation of a witch hunt that began when I came down the escalator at Trump Tower.”

Trump apparently wasn’t able to get everything off his chest in the interview with Hannity, because he took to his social media platform to respond to James’ latest legal efforts against him.

“There are no damages, the banks received full interest payments &, after years of receiving these payments & making a lot of money by such receipt, not to mention fees, the loans were paid off in full on or before the due date or, the loans are current and receiving full interest payments,” Trump posted. “Peekaboo James is a racist that is trying to get money for banks that are not entitled. She should focus on Murder, Rape, Drugs & other CRIME that is destroying New York. Rich banks don’t need her help!”

James’ future is in jeopardy

Trump also posted a full statement from James’ 2022 opponent, Michael Henry.

In the post corresponding with Henry’s statement, Trump endorsed the Republican New York Attorney General candidate.

“Michael Henry is doing great against racist A.G. Letitia James, perhaps the worst violent crime fighter in the Country,” Trump posted. “We can NEVER have a safe and nonviolent New York State with Peekaboo in charge. She wants violent criminals out and about. Michael Henry is tough and smart, will save New York State!”

As James ignored prosecuting certain defenders and pushed for bail reform to let violent criminals back on the streets, year-over-year, New York City’s crime rate has increased more than 30%.

Before she was elected in 2018, there were 295 homicides in New York City – the number has been on a steady rise under James’ watch.

In 2019, the number rose to 319, it spiked to 468 in 2020 and increased again last year to 488.

That’s about a 65% increase since James took office – and the city is on pace to beat that number this year.

Robberies, burglaries, assaults, larceny and car thefts are all up under James as Attorney General.

There might be some reprieve for New Yorkers coming next year.

According to the latest Trafalgar survey, Henry is leading James by one-point, 44%-43%.

“This is a winnable race,” Henry tweeted. “We have to keep our energy high and keep telling our neighbors and friends to vote in November.”
