Donald Trump needed a way to reverse the momentum in the Presidential election.
Trump found his silver bullet.
And Donald Trump left Kamala Harris sputtering after this surprise attack.
Donald Trump proposes new schedule of three debates
At a news conference at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump upended the 2024 campaign with a proposal to debate Kamala Harris three times on three different networks – ABC, Fox, and NBC.
“I think it is very important to have debates and we’ve agreed with Fox on a date of Sept. 4, we’ve agreed with NBC, fairly full agreement, subject to them, on Sept. 10 and we’ve agreed with ABC on Sept. 25. So we have those three dates, those networks, they’re very anxiously awaiting that date and those dates,” Trump revealed to reporters.
Trump also said CBS agreed to host the Vice-Presidential debate between J.D. Vance and Tim Walz.
Trump informed reporters that the heads of the various networks agreed on the debate schedule and that his team was working with the brass to iron out the final details.
“We’ve spoken to the heads of the networks and its all been confirmed other than some fairly minor details, audience . . . some location, what city would we put it in to. But all things that will be settled very easily. I think it’ll be very easy. The other side has to agree to the terms. They may not agree. I don’t know if they are going to agree,” Trump added.
Harris ducks the debates
Kamala Harris responded by ducking the debate schedule Donald Trump proposed.
Harris only wants to do the one ABC debate in September and flat out refused to appear on Fox News.
Harris also wouldn’t commit to the September 25 debate on NBC.

Democrats don’t want Kamala Harris talking off script.
When Harris can’t read someone else’s words, she speaks in mumbo jumbo that makes her come across as what a stupid person thinks a smart person sounds like.
The fate of the September 25 NBC debate likely depends on what happens on September 10.
If Harris thinks she needs the debate to clean up what happened in the first debate, she will likely agree to show up.
But if Harris’ team thinks she won the first debate or nothing happened that will alter the current trajectory of the race, there is no chance Harris will show up for the NBC debate.
Americans were used to the rhythm of a Presidential campaign that included three Presidential debates before COVID disrupted it when President Trump tested positive before the second debate in 2020 and it was canceled.
Now Harris wants to scrap that schedule again because of her lack of rhetorical gifts.
And she may get away with it thanks to the media-created momentum around her campaign.
