President Joe Biden weaponized the government to try and jail Donald Trump before the 2024 Presidential election.
The entire election could come down to the result of Trump’s trials.
And now Donald Trump promised this huge surprise in court that will make President Biden’s life a living hell.
In a radio interview with host Hugh Hewitt, Trump discussed his legal defense strategy in the Mar-a-Lago documents witch hunt.
Joe Biden prosecutor Jack Smith is trying to jail Trump on charges under the Espionage Act for retaining classified documents and for obstructing justice in preventing the government from regaining possession of the documents.
Hewitt asked Trump “Did you direct anyone to move the boxes?”
Trump responded by claiming the Presidential Records Act covered his ability to retain the documents.
“I don’t talk about anything. You know why? Because I’m allowed to do whatever I want. I come under the Presidential Records Act. I’m not telling you. You know, every time I talk to you, ‘Oh, I have a breaking story!’ You don’t have any story. I come under the Presidential Records Act. I’m allowed to do everything I did!”” Trump exclaimed.
Hewitt then pressed Trump if he would testify in his own defense during the trial.
Trump stunned everyone by answering in the affirmative, comparing this case to the Russian collusion smears he was attacked with during his Presidency.
“That, I would do. That, I look forward to, because that’s just like Russia, Russia, Russia. That’s all the fake information from Russia, Russia, Russia. Remember when the dossier came out and everyone said oh, that’s so terrible, that’s so terrible, and then it turned out to be it was a political report put out by Hillary Clinton and the DNC. They paid millions for it. They gave it to Christopher Steele. They paid millions and millions of dollars for it, and it was all fake. It was all fake,” Trump stated.
Hewitt told Trump that at the very least the obstruction of justice charge was going to trial and Trump once again stated that he would testify at trial.
“So I look forward, I look forward to testifying. At trial, I’ll testify,” Trump confirmed.
Hewitt again asked what Trump would say when asked if he ever ordered anyone to move boxes of documents.
“I’m not answering that question for you, but I’m totally covered under the law,” Trump responded.
Testifying in your own defense at trial is a massive risk.
Very few attorneys advise their clients to do this.
It’s highly likely Trump’s lawyers do not want Trump to take the stand, which may be why President Trump has had a difficult time retaining defense attorneys.
Trump always looks to show off his flair for the dramatic.
And those two instincts are likely coming to a head.
