Donald Trump reached out to one shocking name to be his Vice President

It’s only a matter of time before Donald Trump wraps up the GOP Presidential nomination.

That means it’s time to move on to the General Election and who Trump will have on his ticket.

And Donald Trump reached out to one shocking name to be his Vice President.

Donald Trump and his campaign are looking to double down on his anti-establishment, outsider message by putting Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the ticket as his running mate.

Trump’s team reached out to Kennedy Jr. earlier on in the campaign, and the prospect of a Trump-Kennedy ticket is still on the table.

“’Trump operatives expressed an interest in Kennedy early on, but it was all premature,’ one person familiar with the matter said, before adding that it was ‘right out of the box when Bobby announced’ in April of 2023 he was running for President,” the New York Post reported.

“Anything’s possible. I wouldn’t write it off by any means,” the Trumpworld source continued.

A donor who contributed to both Trump and Kennedy expects him to revisit the prospect of putting Kennedy on the ticket once the nomination fight is officially over.

“It’s very much behind the scenes at this stage. As we progress you might see it bubble up a little bit more,” the donor told the Post. “Bobby can bring new people to the polls.”

Former Trump White House chief strategist Steve Bannon predicted naming Kennedy as Vice President would lead to a “landslide” win.

“We stay maniacally focused on the General — particularly as, remember, the firestorm of the lawfare will start next spring with him,” Bannon declared on an episode of his War Room podcast. “If you can walk through that, which you can do — you can walk through that fire … and I think get 55 percent or more of the country.”

“If somehow it worked out [that] you could get Kennedy as a running mate — and I don’t know, that is far from even technically can happen because of the structure of the Democratic and Republican parties and ballot access and all that — you could get 60 percent or higher in the country and win a massive landslide,” Bannon continued.

Kennedy would help win back supporters of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who backed him over Trump’s support for COVID vaccines.

Trump is going to need a completely unified base and new voters coming to the polls.

Kennedy could help with both of those groups.

If Kennedy is on the ticket, then it could bring those supporters over and cinch the election for Trump.
