Donald Trump took one meeting that is about to throw a curveball into the 2024 election

Donald Trump is ramping up his campaign for the Republican Presidential Primary.

He’s currently trying to secure the support of this one key group of voters.

And Donald Trump took one meeting that is about to throw a curveball into the 2024 election.

Former President Donald Trump is trying to lock in his support among conservatives ahead of the Republican Presidential Primary.

Trump was the most pro-life President in history after he appointed three Supreme Court Justices who helped overturn Roe v. Wade.

He also became the only sitting President to attend the annual March for Life.

Tension appeared to be growing between Trump and the pro-life community when he said that abortion should be left up to the individual states now that Roe is overturned.

“President Donald J. Trump believes that the Supreme Court, led by the three Justices which he supported, got it right when they ruled this is an issue that should be decided at the state level,” a Trump campaign spokesman told The Washington Post.

The influential pro-life group, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, slammed the Trump campaign for the statement by calling it a “morally indefensible position.”

The group said it would “oppose any Presidential candidate who refuses to embrace at a minimum a 15-week national standard to stop painful late-term abortions while allowing states to enact further protections.”

Pro-life group praises Trump after meeting

Donald Trump, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, and Susan B. Anthony President Marjorie Dannenfelser met ahead of the GOP Presidential Primary.

Dannenfelser praised Trump afterwards and called it a “terrific meeting.”

“This afternoon I joined Senator Lindsey Graham and Tony Perkins for a terrific meeting with President Trump,” Dannenfelser said in a statement. “His Presidency was the most consequential in American history for the pro-life cause.”

The tensions between Susan B. Anthony and Trump appear to be over.

“During the meeting, President Trump reiterated his opposition to the extreme Democratic position of abortion on demand, up until the moment of birth, paid for by taxpayers – and even in some cases after the child is born,” Dannenfelser continued. “President Trump believes such a position is unworthy of a great nation and believes the American people will rebel against such a radical position that aligns us with China and North Korea.”

Except for the communist dictatorships in China and North Korea, the unrestricted access to abortion on demand supported by Democrats is completely out of step with most of the world.

Dannenfelser said that Trump supported a federal law banning late term abortions as long as it had exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother.

“President Trump knows the vast majority of Americans oppose brutal late-term abortions when the child can feel pain and suck their thumbs. President Trump reiterated that any federal legislation protecting these children would need to include the exceptions for life of the mother and in cases of rape and incest,” Dannenfelser added. “Protecting unborn children capable of feeling pain would align America with the civilized world and with 47 out of 50 European nations.”

Trump’s likely top challenger for the Republican nomination, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, is heavily courting pro-life and evangelical voters.

Standing up for life and cementing support from the pro-life community will solidify conservatives around Trump’s campaign.
