Joe Biden opened the border to a historic wave of illegal immigration.
The 2024 campaign will be a referendum on the Biden agenda.
And Donald Trump triggered the media with this plan to end Joe Biden’s border crisis.
Since Joe Biden took office, more illegal aliens have entered America than live in all but 12 states.
“We’ll stop the invasion on our southern border and begin the largest domestic deportation operation in American history,” Trump said at a campaign event in New Hampshire, where he previewed one of the sharpest lines of attack in the upcoming campaign.
In a second term, Donald Trump plans to implement a shock and awe approach to stopping Joe Biden’s border catastrophe.
Trump announced that he would extend his travel ban and restart border wall construction.
But in an extensive New York Times report, Trump advisors like Stephen Miller revealed the jaw-dropping scope of Trump’s plan to carry out the largest illegal alien deportation in American history.
The Times reported that a Trump administration would repurpose military funds to build detention facilities to house illegal aliens caught in the United States before deporting them to their home countries.
Trump would also use “coercive diplomacy” to force any country entering into a diplomatic agreement with the United States to cooperate on stopping illegal aliens from passing through their country to travel to the United States.
A Trump administration would also reinstate its “safe third country” policy, which held that illegal aliens traveling to the United States would have to seek asylum in a third-party country that they passed through before reaching the United States.
Trump would also cite the possibility of illegal aliens bringing diseases like RSV and the flu into America to reinstate the pandemic-era Title 42 policy to allow the government to quickly send illegal aliens caught at the border back to their home countries.
Finally, Trump would also expand “expedited removal,” which allows the administration to carry out mass deportations of illegal aliens while ICE carries out workplace raids instead of arresting illegal aliens one by one.
The Biden campaign knows his poll numbers on the border are in the toilet.
But rather than fix the problem at the border, the Biden campaign resorted to the usual smears about Trump being a racist. “Mass detention camps, attempts to deny children born here citizenship, uprooting families with mass deportations — this is the horrifying reality that awaits the American people if Donald Trump is allowed anywhere near the Oval Office again,” Biden campaign spokesperson Ammar Moussa declared. “These extreme, racist, cruel policies dreamed up by him and his henchman Stephen Miller are meant to stoke fear and divide us, betting a scared and divided nation is how he wins this election.”
These attacks on Trump didn’t work in 2016 or in 2020, as he grew his share of the Hispanic vote.
If the 2024 campaign debate features Trump detailing a plan to end the border crisis and Joe Biden’s only response is to scream racism, then it will not play to the Democrat Party’s benefit.
