Donald Trump visited East Palestine and you won’t believe what happened next

Feb 24, 2023

A train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio spilled toxic chemicals into the soil, water, and air.

Joe Biden and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg ignored the disaster.

But then Donald Trump visited East Palestine and you won’t believe what happened next.

After a February 3 train derailment in East Palestine created an ecological disaster, Pete Buttigieg spent his time whining that white people held too many construction jobs.

Joe Biden traveled to Ukraine to stage a photo op complete with a fake air raid siren to show his commitment to securing the Ukrainian border.

The entire Biden administration forgot about the people of East Palestine, leaving frightened residents worried about the long term effects of the toxic chemicals in the air and water.

But Donald Trump visited East Palestine with a message of hope and brought thousands of bottles of water and cleaning supplies with him on Wednesday.

Trump sought to show the working class residents of East Palestine that they were not forgotten and that someday they could have leaders who would take their plight seriously.

He also slammed Buttigieg and Biden for allowing the country to deteriorate on their watch.

“We’re like a third-world nation, and this is an example of it, the breakdown. Our whole country is breaking down,” Trump declared.

Trump slammed Buttigieg for taking nearly two weeks to comment on the train derailment and then refusing to travel to East Palestine.

“He should have been here a long time ago,” Trump declared. “Now he was supposed to come today, but he heard I was coming today and postponed it. But whenever he comes, he’s got to do his job, and if we didn’t come, they never would have come.”

Trump then debunked Pete Buttigieg’s false claim that a 2018 rule on rail brakes that his administration withdrew contributed to the derailment.

He added that Buttigieg should worry about airport delays, as thousands of Americans were stranded when the power went out at JFK airport.

“It had nothing to do with it,” Trump explained. “No, he’s got to work on the airports and we’ve never had airports like this. We’re like a third world nation and this is an example of it … our whole country is breaking down.”

National Transportation Safety Board chief Jennifer Homendy agreed with Trump and posted on Twitter that the proposed 2018 regulation would not have applied to the type of train that derailed in East Palestine.

OF course, Trump’s visit did achieve one big result.

As soon as Biden’s handlers saw the power optics of Trump handing out water and buying first responders lunch, the administration announced that Pete Buttigieg would visit East Palestine the very next day.
