RINO Liz Cheney thought she was a power broker in Washington, D.C.’s Swamp.
But her life is now locked in a downward spiral.
And Donald Trump was all smiles after Liz Cheney waved the white flag of defeat.
Former Congresswoman Liz Cheney thought she was going to wrestle back control of the Republican Party from Donald Trump.
She served as former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) RINO lapdog on the sham January 6 Select Committee.
Despite the hype from Cheney and her Democrat allies, the Committee failed to deliver on its goal of taking down Trump.
Cheney’s Congressional career came to a humiliating end after GOP Primary voters in Wyoming showed her the door.
Trump-backed challenger Harriet Hageman trounced her by a 37-point margin in one of the worst Primary defeats for an elected member of Congress in American history.
Despite the brutal rejection from Wyoming voters, Cheney wasn’t done with her unhinged crusade against Trump.
With the encouragement of the media, she toyed with the idea of challenging Trump in the GOP Presidential Primary.
Cheney’s support would be little more than a rounding era in a Republican Primary, but it appeared that wouldn’t deter her delusion that she could stop the former President’s comeback.
Now, Cheney is facing the sobering reality that she has no future in the Republican Party after she stabbed conservatives in the back.
Liz Cheney is throwing in the towel on her political career
Liz Cheney is charting a new course after her Congressional career came to an embarrassing end.
The former Congresswoman announced that she was taking a position as a professor of practice at the University of Virginia’s Center for Politics.
The Center for Politics said that she would serve as a guest lecturer for classes and events and help with the university’s research.
Cheney’s job runs through the fall semester with the option of returning for more academic years.
“I am delighted to be joining the UVA Center for Politics as a Professor of Practice,” Cheney said in a statement. “Preserving our constitutional republic is the most important work of our time, and our nation’s young people will play a crucial role in this effort. I look forward to working with students and colleagues at the Center to advance the important work they and others at the University of Virginia are doing to improve the health of democracy here and around the world.”
Anti-Trump Larry Sabato, who runs the Center for Politics, celebrated her arrival, calling it one of the best days in his 53 years at the university.
Normally, a Republican would receive a hostile welcome at a left-wing university, but Cheney will be right at home with her fellow leftists.
After mulling over launching a campaign against Donald Trump in the Republican Presidential Primary, Cheney is saving herself from another humiliating defeat.
Taking a job as a professor is a sign that she realized her Presidential ambitions are dead on arrival.
After being in the media limelight during her Congressional career, Liz Cheney is preparing to fade away into obscurity.
