But Democrats, Big Tech, and the media worked overtime to bury the explosive story during the final weeks of the 2020 Election.
Comedian Joe Rogan said on his podcast that the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story was “evidence” of election interference.
The seeds of the story being censored were planted by a letter from former intelligence officials who knew the laptop’s contents were real but falsely claimed that it was a Russian disinformation operation.
“There’s no better evidence than the — was it 51 intelligence officials that signed off on the fact that the Hunter Biden laptop was disinformation?” Rogan said.
Guest and fellow comedian Dave Smith pointed out that some of the most prominent members of the Deep State signed off on the scheme.
“Yes, I believe, including four former heads of the CIA,” Smith replied.
Former CIA Directors John McLaughlin, Michael Morell, John Brennan, and Leon Panetta all signed off on the letter and gave it a false appearance of legitimacy.
This intelligence letter got the ball rolling on Big Tech censorship of the story and the media dismissing it as a hoax.
“It’s really something ’cause there’s no, like, demand for accountability for those people,” Smith said. “Like, hey, explain yourself, you know? Like, how did you sign off on this blatant election interference, you know?”
Federal campaign finance records later revealed that 12 of the signatories to the letter contributed $40,000 to Joe Biden’s 2020 Presidential campaign.
11 of the signers would go on to make 24 trips to the White House under President Joe Biden.
“They know this whole thing is illegitimate. Like, you stole it, and they really did. They really did,” Smith continued. “I mean, they suppressed the October bombshell that would have very likely tipped the election in Trump’s favor.”
Testimony from one of the signers, Michael Morrell, revealed that the idea for the letter was sparked by the Biden campaign as part of an effort to run damage control during his testimony before the House Judiciary Committee.
He admitted that he added his name to the letter because he wanted Biden to beat former President Donald Trump in the election.
