Donald Trump is the frontrunner in the 2024 GOP Presidential Primary.
Up until now, Trump led Joe Biden in the polls.
But now Donald Trump was shocked to find out who is going to cost him the 2024 election.
Last month, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced he was ending his challenge to Joe Biden in the Democrat Primary and would instead run in the General Election as an Independent.
“I want to tell you now what I’ve come to understand after six months of campaigning: There is a path to victory,” Kennedy told supporters in a video announcing the decision to leave the Democrat Party. “We all recognize that there’s a genuine possibility of national transformation and its source is the goodness in the American people.”
Kennedy campaign sources told Mediaite that the goal of a third-party bid was to cost Trump the White House since his opposition to vaccine mandates and the war in Ukraine would siphon anti-establishment voters away from Trump.
“This is going to f**k Trump… Bobby’s values are much more in line with patriots,” the campaign declared.
The first polling evidence of a three-way race between Biden, Trump, and Kennedy shows this is the case.
A new Quinnipiac survey showed Biden and Trump statistically tied with 47 and 46 percent of the vote, respectively.
But when Quinnipiac added Kennedy into the mix, the pollster found Biden growing his lead and Kennedy receiving historic levels of support.
“When the hypothetical 2024 General Election matchup broadens to include environmental lawyer and anti- vaccine activist Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. who is running as an Independent candidate, Biden receives 39 percent support, Trump receives 36 percent support, and Kennedy receives 22 percent support,” Quinnipiac wrote in a polling memo.
The poll even showed Kennedy winning a plurality of Independent voters.
“Among Independents, 36 percent support Kennedy, 31 percent support Trump, and 30 percent support Biden,” Quinnipiac added.
Susquehanna released a poll on the same day showing Biden leading Trump by seven in a three-way race with Kennedy on the ballot.
