Democrats are ramping up the witch hunt against Donald Trump.
They think they’re finally going to take down the former President.
But Donald Trump’s lawyer took everyone by surprise with this fact about his case.
District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan, an Obama appointee, reinstated the limited gag order against former President Donald Trump in his case involving January 6.
The gag order prohibits Trump from making public comments on Special Counsel Jack Smith and potential witnesses in the case, which is scheduled to go to trial next March before the GOP Primaries’ Super Tuesday.
Chutkan is attempting to unconstitutionally silence Trump from talking about his January 6 case on the campaign trail.
The Judge had lifted the gag order after a challenge from Trump’s legal team that claimed it was a violation of the First Amendment rights of a Presidential candidate during campaign season.
Smith’s office requested that she reinstate the gag order because the former President allegedly attempted to “influence and intimidate” witnesses with posts on his Truth Social platform.
Trump slammed the decision to muzzle him on Truth Social.
“The Obama appointed Federal Judge in D.C, a TRUE TRUMP HATER, is incapable of giving me a fair trial,” Trump wrote. “Her Hatred of President DONALD J. TRUMP is so great that she has been diagnosed with a major, and incurable, case of TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME!!!”
In his civil case in New York, Judge Arthur Engoron hit Trump with a $10,000 fine for violating a partial gag order for his public comments on court staffers.
Democrats are hoping that the former President will be sent to jail for violating the unconstitutional gag orders by the partisan Judges overseeing his cases.
They’re salivating at the prospect of Trump being thrown in jail with common criminals.
Trump attorney says he’s not worried about going to jail
During an interview with Newsmax, Alina Habba, an attorney on Trump’s legal team, said that the idea of Trump being sent to jail is “not even something we think about.”
Newsmax host Carl Higbie asked her if she thought that the former President could be jailed for violating the gag orders against him.
Habba calmed fears that the Democrat dream of Trump being thrown in jail would come true.
“He’s protected by the Secret Service, period,” Habba explained. “So, I always tell people when they’re panicked, ‘Listen, he’s protected by Secret Service, number one. Number two, he did nothing wrong.’ So, when people go to jail it’s because they’ve done something wrong.”
She said that while the Democrat Judges may want to throw Trump in jail, the legal process still has to play out.
“Do we have crooked situations in and out of court? Absolutely,” Habba said. “Could they try? Probably, but it won’t work because there is still a trial process, there are still facts, and unfortunately, they’re not going to win on the facts.”
Habba added that jail isn’t something that Trump’s legal team thinks about because they know the cases against him are purely political.
“It’s Trump Derangement Syndrome at its best,” Habba said. “I’m not worried about him, he’s not worried, and the American public shouldn’t be worried.”
