Gloria Borger tore into Biden for his latest insult to Americans

Nov 11, 2022

The 2022 election didn’t turn out to be the red wave many of us were hoping for.

But it was by no means an endorsement of Biden’s failed policies either.

And Gloria Borger tore into Biden for his latest insult to Americans.

It’s a slap in the face to struggling Americans.

In his address following the Midterm elections, Joe Biden said that he has no plans to do anything different than he has been doing.

During CNN’s Wednesday election coverage CNN Chief Political Analyst Gloria Borger called Biden’s remarks an “insult to Americans.”

Borger said, “Here was sort of the thing that struck me, which is when he was asked would you change anything, he said, no. Now, you have 75% of the country saying that we’re headed in the wrong direction. 75% believe we are in a recession. And then the President — you know, in a way to try to brag about himself and what he’s done, of course, and to talk about how Republicans would threaten your Social Security and your Medicare, he said he just wouldn’t do anything different because of course, our achievements take a long time to be recognized. That’s insulting people. And I don’t think that was a good answer from the President.”

No, Biden isn’t doing a good job

The majority of Americans believe that we are in a recession because we are, despite attempts by the Biden administration and his regime media allies to change the definition of what a recession is.

Biden’s reckless tax-and-spend policies have driven record inflation that has destroyed working Americans’ purchasing power.

And most Americans rightly believe that our country is headed in the wrong direction.

While not a red wave, the election was certainly not a mandate by the American people to continue Biden’s failed policies.

Republicans are likely to gain control of the House, and the Senate is still up in the air.

The American people are not happy with Joe Biden’s policies, but Republicans failed to capitalize on that this election cycle.

Much of that was due to weak candidates who were underfunded.

The GOP establishment, frustrated that their hand-picked candidates pulled funding from several key races, and Trump’s Super PAC failed to make up the difference.

The only exception was Florida, where Governor Ron DeSantis demolished his competition, defeating former Governor Charlie Crist by more than 19 points.

If Republicans want to win in the future, they need to look to DeSantis.

DeSantis has governed as unabashedly conservative, and the voters from the once purple state rewarded him for it.

Focusing on advancing conservative policy is the way to win, and DeSantis excels at it.

While Biden has said he wants to continue more of his failed policies, hopefully a Republican House will at least be able to slow him down for the next two years.

Then Republicans better get serious about winning in 2024.
