James Comer asked one question to the FEMA head that left her trembling in fear

Nov 25, 2024

FEMA’s head is feeling the heat after the agency was rocked by multiple scandals.

She was put in the most uncomfortable situation of her life.

And James Comer asked one question to the FEMA head that left her trembling in fear.

FEMA hit with more allegations of political bias against Trump supporters

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) took heavy fire over its slow or nonexistent response after Hurricanes Helene and Milton hit.

Storm victims in Republican areas in the South reported that FEMA dropped the ball with its disaster response.

President-elect Donald Trump slammed FEMA for ignoring Republican areas after the hurricanes but Democrats and their media allies called that claim misinformation.

FEMA supervisor Marn’i Washington was exposed by a whistleblower for ordering disaster relief workers in Florida after Hurricane Milton to skip homes that had Trump flags or signs.

Washington was fired after the incident was exposed.

FEMA claimed what happened was an isolated incident by a rogue employee.

Washington insisted that she was following the avoidance policy that was being used throughout the agency.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) had FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell testify for two hours about discrimination against Trump supporters.

Criswell reiterated to the committee that Washington’s actions were an isolated incident.

James Comer drops new bombshell about FEMA

A whistleblower came forward to Comer’s office with a report of political discrimination against a veteran who is a Trump supporter in Georgia.

“My staff made contact with a new whistleblower who provided a credible account that a FEMA contractor visited the home of an elderly disabled veteran’s family around October 10 following Hurricane Helene,” Comer said. “While there he recommended that they remove Trump campaign materials and signs from both their house and yard. He warned the family that his FEMA supervisor does not take kindly to Trump supporters and that they are seen as domestic terrorists.”

FEMA never returned to the disabled veteran’s home even after the Trump material was removed from the home.

Comer wrote a letter to Criswell asking her to turn over more information from FEMA about the agency’s avoidance policy.

His letter noted the situation in Georgia with the elderly veteran.

Representative Greg Steube (R-FL) represents the Sarasota, Florida, area where Hurricane Milton made landfall.

More than 35 of his constituents reached out to his office with allegations of bias by FEMA against them.

“The Committee is in the process of investigating these claims. If they are true, they would corroborate concerns that political discrimination extends beyond Ms. Washington,” Comer wrote. ”Furthermore, they suggest an apparent culture, whether sanctioned or not, within FEMA to politically discriminate against disaster survivors, specifically those who support President-elect Donald Trump.”

Comer asked her to hand over Disaster Survivor Assistance surveys that mention any political affiliation, internal FEMA communications that mention politics for Florida, and any FEMA policies on “avoidance” or de-escalating conflict.

FEMA’s political bias against Trump supporters is more widespread than administrator Criswell lets on.

The truth is slowly starting to come out about the agency’s political discrimination.
