Joe Biden and the Democrats are using every dirty trick in the book to shut down their political opponents.
But it looks like some Republicans are finally starting to fight back.
And Joe Biden blew his top after Congress launched a major investigation into this Democrat District Attorney.
The House Judiciary Committee is launching an investigation into radical Democrat Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.
“Your actions raise serious concerns”
Willis is the left-wing District Attorney who indicted former President Donald Trump on charges related to the 2020 election.
But some Republicans have finally had enough of the politicized and weaponized use of the legal system by Democrat zealots.
In a recent letter to Willis, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) questioned her motivations for prosecuting Donald Trump.
“Your indictment and prosecution implicate substantial federal interests, and the circumstances surrounding your actions raise serious concerns about whether they are politically motivated,” Jordan wrote.
Specifically, Jordan raised five serious issues with the indictment.
First, Willis “launched a new campaign fundraising website that highlighted” her investigation into Trump four days before the indictment was announced.
Second, the forewoman of the special grand jury convened by Willis actually bragged about subpoenaing Trump.
Third, the Fulton County Clerk “accidentally” released a document showing the forthcoming criminal charges against Trump several hours before the grand jury had officially voted to indict him.
Fourth, a judge disqualified Willis from targeting Georgia Republican Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones in the investigation.
And fifth, Fulton County officials processed Trump at the local jail like a common criminal and forced him to take a mugshot and post bond.
Politically motivated and timed
Jordan also brought up grave concerns about the timing of the investigation.
He noted that Willis has stated she wants to begin the trial during the heart of the early Presidential Primary season next year.
Jordan also said the indictment “appears to be an attempt to use state criminal law to regulate the conduct of federal officers acting in their official capacities.”
This last point raises serious Constitutional issues and Supremacy Clause concerns.
Jordan also pointed out that Congress has a vested interest in the welfare of former Presidents.
He also reminded Willis that Congress has oversight power over all federal funds distributed to local law enforcement agencies.
Coordination with the DOJ in a political hit job
Finally, Jordan wrote to Willis that there are “questions about whether and how your office coordinated with DOJ Special Counsel Jack Smith during the course of this investigation.”
The Ohio Congressman has requested documents from Willis’ office regarding its use of federal funds in the investigation, all documents and communications with the DOJ, and any documents and communications with other federal officials about the investigation.
The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office responded with a terse one sentence reply that said, “we’re declining to comment on that.”
Only time will tell if House Republicans will follow through and take the fight to Willis and the Democrats.
