Democrats are terrified whenever Joe Biden opens his mouth in public.
But he just told one of the biggest whoppers of his Presidency on national television.
And Joe Biden is going to live to regret this insulting message he just delivered to voters.
The economy is the biggest problem facing President Joe Biden heading into the 2024 election.
Democrats and their media allies are trying to claim that everything is great with the economy, but the numbers tell a different story.
The cost of living is through the roof from rampant inflation and rising interest rates, making it harder than ever to make ends meet.
Job losses are growing, and a potential economic slowdown may be on the horizon heading into 2024.
Since Biden can’t defend his economic record, which he dubs “Bidenomics,” he’s trying to paint a rosy picture about it that doesn’t match reality.
Joe Biden: Voters upset about the economy are “disconnected” from reality
The President used the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit to pitch “Bidenomics” to the public.
He claimed his floundering economy was in great shape and rattled off a laundry list of statistics to back up his fantasy, including that household wealth has been rising since the pandemic ended.
Biden told Americans who are unhappy with the economy that it’s because they’re experiencing a “disconnect.”
“I acknowledge there’s a disconnect between the numbers and how people feel about their place in the world right now,” Biden said. “We can deal with the second part as well. We still have work to do.”
The message to voters upset about the economy from Biden is the old quip, “who are you gonna believe, me or your lying eyes?”
The “disconnect” that Biden talked about is the other way around.
The grim reality facing the President is that the economy is a disaster, and no amount of sunny optimism is going to change that.
The public, including many Democrats, have a far different view of the Biden economy.
Research by the financial services firm, LendingClub, found that 61% of Americans are living paycheck-to-paycheck.
The majority of Democrats are unhappy with the economy, according to a Financial Times/University of Michigan poll.
A meager 24% of Democrats surveyed said that their financial situation has improved since Biden took office.
Poll after poll shows that the majority of voters are unhappy with the economy under Biden.
Even Democrats are becoming frustrated with the “Bidenomics” messaging coming from the White House, according to Politico.
“We have to do a better job framing this not so much for one person — for the office of the Presidency — but for the people,” Steven Horsford (D-NV) said.
He admitted that the messaging on “Bidenomics” is “built on shaky ground.”
First Lady Jill Biden’s former spokesman, Michael LaRosa, said that “screaming” at voters about how good the economy is will not work.
“I’ve never understood why you would brand an economy in your name when the economy hasn’t fully recovered yet,” LaRosa said. “People need to be able to see and feel an economy in their own personal bank accounts. And it doesn’t change no matter how loud you scream the economy is better.”
No amount of spin from Joe Biden is going to change the fact that his economy is a disaster.
