Joe Biden’s stolen classified documents scandal is not going away any time soon.
In fact, Biden made it worse.
That’s because Joe Biden just delivered this insane answer on stealing classified documents.
Friendly activist Judy Woodruff tried to lend Biden a hand during an interview on PBS.
In a previous 60 Minutes interview, Biden slammed Trump as “irresponsible.”
It turned out, Joe Biden’s been stealing classified documents for decades.
But Woodruff tried to create a false dichotomy between how Trump handled his document dispute with the National Archives and Biden pilfering classified documents.
“It’s clear there’s a difference between the way you’ve handled this and former President (Donald) Trump,” Woodruff began. “You’ve cooperated with the archives, with the FBI. But I want to ask you about, quickly about, what you said last September. You said just possessing classified documents is, you said, ‘totally irresponsible.’ So what was totally irresponsible about the fact that you had some?”
Of course Biden did not really fully cooperate as Biden’s team and the FBI needed multiple searches to recover all the stolen classified documents because Biden’s lawyers lied about the initial search turning up any classified materials.
Biden – who once promised complete transparency – said he was instructed not to talk about this issue.
“They’ve informed me not to speak to this issue — to any way, try to prejudice the investigation that’s going on,” Biden added. “But what I was talking about was what was laid out. All these documents were top secret, code word, and all the rest. I’m not at liberty, and I’m not even sure — I made voluntarily — no one has had to threaten to do anything. Voluntarily open every single aperture I have with the house, offices, everything, for them to come and look and spend hours searching my home — invited them.”
What Biden left out was the fact that he stole these classified documents when he was a Senator and Vice President, which meant he had no right to keep them in the first place.
Biden then admitted he stole classified documents going back nearly 50 years.
“And the best of my knowledge, the kinds of things they picked up are things that are from 1974 and stray papers, there may be something else, I don’t know,” Biden added.
Biden was in the Senate in 1974 – he and his staff had no right to look at classified documents outside of a secure facility.
Biden then blamed his staff for him stealing classified documents dating back to the 1970s.
“But one of the things that happened is that what was not done well is as they packed up my offices to move them, they didn’t do the kind of job that should have been done to go thoroughly through every single piece of literature that’s there. But, I just let the investigation have, you know, decide what’s going on and we’ll see what happens,” Biden concluded.
