The scandals in the Biden administration continue to multiply.
And even the corporate-controlled media is starting to ask questions.
But Joe Biden just got a verbal smackdown for his humiliating response to this devastating scandal.
It now appears that Joe Biden had classified documents from his time as Vice President hidden in a number of different locations.
And the case appears worse than what the FBI raided Donald Trump over.
Unbelievably Irresponsible
Donald Trump, as a former President, had the ability to legally have documents on site, and had the ability as President to declassify documents.
Biden, since the documents found were from his time as Vice President, had no such abilities.
And Biden has said in the past that Trump having documents in his private residence was unbelievably irresponsible of President Trump.
George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley commented on the revelation that Biden mishandled classified documents after leaving office.
“What the President said yesterday was really rather unintelligible,” Tulery said. “He said the lawyers told me not to ask what the documents were. Well, I can understand the lawyer saying don’t say anything. There is a potential criminal investigation. But there are two steps to this investigation.”
Turley continued, “One is to secure the documents, which has occurred. The second is to determine if there was any breach of security. For that you need to know who saw the documents. And the chief witness is the president. You have to ask him, ‘Here are the documents in the box, do you remember asking for these, working off these, showing these?’”
“The President just said, ‘I was briefed but told not to ask what the documents are,’” Turley said.
Reminiscent of the Hillary Clinton documents
But Turley made his views on this even more clear.
In discussing the situation with Fox News’ Dana Perino, Turley said, “Dana, his job is to protect national security first, not his legal status. But also it is reminiscent of the Hillary Clinton documents. Remember the Whitewater documents suddenly appearing outside her office, and everyone saying surprise. And that’s where it was left.”
Turley then reminded the hosts that this situation with Biden and the documents is even worse.
“Obviously this is more serious because these are highly classified documents and so we really do need to try to reverse engineer on who brought them in, why, and who saw them,” Turley argued.
The question now is how serious the DOJ will be about investigating this breech by Biden.
Attorney General Merrick Garland has appointed a Special Counsel to look into the documents and what, if any, legal actions need to be taken.
But as of yet there has not been a late night armed FBI SWAT-style raid on any of Biden’s homes like was done to Donald Trump.
Why were classified documents in the box?
Turley said he thinks it’s at least a theory that many of the documents were in Biden’s possession for a book he might be writing on his activities in Ukraine.
But Turley also pointed out there is a flaw in that theory because there is a very clear and established process for former Presidents and Vice Presidents to get documents.
And that does not include receiving Top Secret or other highly classified documents.
Now we will have to wait and see what, if anything, comes of the investigations into Biden’s document debacle, and if he faces the same scrutiny as Donald Trump.
