President Joe Biden can’t seem to make up his mind if China is a friend or foe to the United States.
However, Chinese President Xi Jinping is leaving no question about his feelings for America.
But Donald Trump is already making promises about how he’ll handle China if voters put him back in the White House.
There goes the neighborhood
Given President Joe Biden’s age, mental fitness and general aptitude, it’s difficult enough for him to focus on one problem, let alone several.
But that’s no excuse for the President of the United States to turn a blind eye while a foreign rival moves in on American soil.
According to the United State Department of Agriculture, China owns over 191,000 acres of U.S. lands – mostly rural farmland.
And they recently added another 300 acres, as the AG Wed Fam Journal reported, Chinese company, Fufeng Group, acquired the large plot of land in North Dakota for $2.6 million.
Fufeng Group says they intend to put a CCP milling plant on the land.
Making matters worse, the 300 acres just so happens to be right next to a North Dakota Air Force base.
How convenient.
While the Biden Administration tucks its collective heads into the sand while China takes over more and more U.S. soil – former President Donald Trump is paying close attention.
Trump’s promise to voters
On his Truth Social platform, Trump – who has already announced a 2024 bid for a second term in the White House – made a promise to American voters this week.
The 45th President of the United States vowed to ban Chinese nationals from buying land or essential and strategic business interests in the U.S., should he win a second four-year term in the Oval Office in the next election cycle.
“When I’m President, I will ensure that America’s future remains firmly in American hands, not in China’s,” Trump said. “We need to enact aggressive new restrictions on Chinese ownership of any vital infrastructure in the United States, including energy, technology, telecommunications, farmland, natural resources, medical supplies, and other strategic national assets.”
The real estate and entertainment mogul wasn’t shy about attributing China’s gain of influence in America to President Joe Biden’s failure to act.
“China is buying up our technology; they’re buying up food supplies; they’re buying up our farmland; they’re buying up our minerals and natural resources; they’re buying up our ports and shipping terminals,” Trump added. “And with the help of corrupt influence-peddlers like the Biden crime family, China is even trying to buy up the pillars of the U.S. energy industry.”
Red state Governors doing what Biden won’t
Other potential 2024 GOP Presidential candidates are also taking notice of China’s actions and Biden’s inaction.
Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem has proposed legislation barring China from purchasing more farmland in the Mount Rushmore State.
Meanwhile, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has said he finds the Chinese government buying farmland and residential areas in Florida “troubling” because “they have interests that are opposed to ours.”
