Josh Hawley revealed one unthinkable mistake the Secret Service made at Trump’s golf club

The Secret Service had another disturbing security failure protecting Donald Trump.

Once again, the embattled agency is in the hot seat.

And Josh Hawley revealed one unthinkable mistake the Secret Service made at Trump’s golf club.

Secret Service failed to perform routine security before Trump played golf

The Secret Service is under the microscope after the second assassination against former President Donald Trump in two months.

58-year-old Ryan Routh was able to carry a scoped rifle near a busy street and set up a sniper’s nest at the chain-linked fence along the sixth holes of the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Cell phone data revealed that Routh waited for 12 hours for Trump to play through.

A Secret Service agent walking the perimeter opened fire on him after they spotted his rifle through the fence.

Trump was about 300 to 500 yards away from Routh when the gunshots rang out.

Now, the Secret Service is under fire after the would-be assassin was able to camp out for half a day undetected, waiting for Trump.

U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) dropped a bombshell during an appearance on Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime.

His office has become the go-to destination for Secret Service whistleblowers since the first attempt on Trump’s life at a July campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

A whistleblower told Hawley that the Secret Service failed to use proper procedures to secure Trump’s golf club.

Fox News host Jesse Watters asked the Missouri lawmaker what he heard from inside the Secret Service.

“Well, what we’ve heard, Jesse from new whistleblowers who have come forward about this second assassination attempt on Donald Trump’s life, and here’s what they have told us,” Hawley replied. “That golf course that the President was playing, Secret Service have guarded that course many, many times.”

The Trump International Golf Club is about four miles from the former President’s Mar-a-Lago home and is the course he plays most frequently when he’s in Florida.

Secret Service made a huge mistake

“And what the whistleblower says is protocol calls for Secret Service to station agents along the places in the course that are known vulnerabilities,” Hawley explained.

The fence along the sixth hole where Routh set up was a known vulnerability.

“I want to emphasize, the Service has guarded this course many times,” Hawley said. “They know where there are vulnerabilities. They normally station agents there ahead of Trump’s appearance on the course, but they apparently did not do that this last weekend.”

The Secret Service broke its security protocols on the day of the attempted assassination.

“And the whistleblowers tell me, that’s strange,” Hawley stated. “That’s out of protocol. It’s not even clear the Secret Service swept the perimeter before Trump took to the course . . . a breach, rather a protocol and they want to know why, and so do I. I think the Secret Service deserves to give us answers.”

The Secret Service failed to include the building where the gunman shot Trump in July in its security perimeter in Pennsylvania.

Another failure to secure the perimeter of Trump’s golf club almost led to a tragedy.
