Kamala Harris and the Democrat Party have a major problem on their hands.
Voters Democrats take for granted are suddenly not in lock.
And Kamala Harris got a major warning sign in this stunning new poll.
Kamala Harris’ trouble with black voters
A Democrat needs to win around 90 percent of the black vote to win a national election.
Democrat Party National Chairman Jaime Harrison told POLITICO that running up the score with black voters was the key to Kamala Harris winning battlegrounds of Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
“If we can get the turnout in rural Georgia, in rural North Carolina, rural Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, where we’ve got sizable pockets of Black and brown voters, it puts less pressure on our urban areas, and it really allows us to run up these scores,” Democrat National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison told POLITICO earlier at CBC week. “It’s going to be the reason why Kamala Harris is going to be elected 47th president.”
Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump by 84 points with black voters in 2016.
Joe Biden’s margin over Trump in 2020 was 78 points.
But the most recent New York Times/Siena poll showed Kamala Harris leading Donald Trump by 64 points.
Poll shows trouble spots for Kamala Harris
An NAACP poll of black voters in 12 states conducted by Hart research showed which specific groups of black voters were in danger of either staying home or defecting to Trump.
Older black women are the bedrock of Kamala Harris’ base while her support slips with black men over 50.
“While 79 percent of Black women over 50 said they would vote for her, only 66 percent of men in the same age group felt the same,” Newsweek reports.
Younger voters are even less enthusiastic about Kamala Harris.
“Among younger Black voters, aged 18 to 49, Harris’s support drops further, with just 56 percent backing her candidacy,” Newsweek also reported.
Another flashing red light for Kamala Harris, that the more undecided voters see of her on the campaign trail, the less they like her.
“Undecided voters could pose a challenge. While 59 percent of respondents overall reported a more favorable view of Harris over the past month, only 14 percent of undecided voters shared this view, with 25 percent of undecided voters saying that their opinion of her had worsened,” the Newsweek report continued.
According to the NAACP poll, 40 percent of black voters listed the economy as their number one issue.
And with prices up nearly 20 percent since Kamala Harris took office, it’s no surprise that this doesn’t play to Kamala’s advantage.
At the debate and during a softball interview with the National Association of Black Journalists, Kamala Harris couldn’t say “yes” to the question about whether or not Americans were better off today than they were four years ago.

A growing number of black voters believe that Kamala Harris had three-and-a-half years to address the economic problems in America.
And if Kamala Harris fails to hit traditional Democrat margins with black voters, it could be a long Election Night.
