Polls show race moving back to Trump
Polls taken the first two weeks of August showed a massive Kamala Harris surge.
Kamala raced out to national and battleground leads over Trump as Democrats rallied around her and the media manufactured a fake narrative about Kamala restoring “joy” to the soul of America.
The FiveThirtyEight polling aggregate showed Kamala leading Trump by three points.
But they call it a “bounce” for a reason, because what goes up must come down.
And as mid-August hit, the polls began to change.
A series of polls just came out showing Trump either taking the lead or Kamala holding a narrow edge.

State polls also show a Trump edge
An AARP poll of Michigan found Trump leading Harris by two points when all candidates who will appear on the ballot were included.

The Washington Post’s polling average of the battlegrounds showed Trump holding the edge in enough states to give him 283 Electoral College votes if these results held.

A message shift
Trump’s campaign and its allies bombarded the airwaves with television ads over this time frame, slamming Kamala as a San Francisco liberal who will champion pro-crime policies, throw open borders, and inflict economic misery to America.

The race is settling back into jump ball territory.
The next 80 days will determine if Donald Trump can keep defining Kamala Harris on his terms.
And if that happens, Trump holds a strong chance of securing a second term.
