In politics, imaging and messaging are everything.
And for the State of the Union, nearly everything is planned in specific detail to project an image that the sitting President wants the public to see.
But members of Congress displayed one image at the State of the Union that will make you sick to your stomach.
Imaging is the name of the game
Political campaigns and PACs spend millions of dollars each election cycle to make sure that they control the messaging and the narrative of the race.
Every ad, every campaign sign, and every piece of literature you receive from a candidate has been scrutinized to make sure it aligns with the message they want to put forward.
That’s because controlling the narrative and messaging of an election cycle will have great implications on the outcomes, which is one reason for President Trump’s success in 2016.
As a businessman, Trump knew he would win the race if he controlled the messaging and talking points of the election.
Since he knew there was a market for immigration issues among voters, he ran on strong border security policies and made the election mostly about immigration, which helped propel him to the White House.
But the one political figure that’s having a really hard time controlling his image is Joe Biden.
As you can imagine, it’s hard to create a narrative around a candidate when you never know what they are going to say or talk about on any given day.
So when his team gets opportunities like State of the Union to control and put their messaging in front of the American people, they make sure everything in front of a camera lines up exactly with what they want to push.
But one thing that was pushed at the State of Union by nearly every Democrat in attendance was just sickening.
Abortion over America
Usually, at the State of Union you see people with lapel pins of the United States flag or some other patriotic symbol.
But littered throughout the Democrat caucus during the State of the Union were little pins showing their cultic devotion to abortion on demand.
Many Democrat members of Congress wore pins that simply said “ABORTION.”
Senator Edward Markey of Massachusetts and Representative Madeleine Dean of Pennsylvania gloated online with pictures of them wearing the pin instead of the American flag.
Senator Markey tweeted that “abortion is essential healthcare and we need to codify this right.”

And Representative Dean made one of the most hypocritical statements by claiming that killing a baby in the womb saves lives.
“I say the word, I wear the word. Abortion care is health care. Abortion care saves lives,” she tweeted.

During an event where members of Congress are supposed to send messages of unity and patriotism, we have Democrats promoting abortion on demand.
