Democrat leadership in the House and Senate are in a frenzy.
Time is running out for them to turn things around before November’s Midterm elections.
And Nancy Pelosi’s top lieutenant just went on NBC and told Democrats they will lose the House unless they stop doing this.
Pelosi sees the writing on the wall
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is worried sick.
Republicans only need to flip five seats to take back the majority and the Speaker’s gavel from Speaker Pelosi and the Left.
Thanks to Joe Biden’s failed Presidency, recent polling shows the only real question looming over the 2022 Midterms is not if Republicans will take back the House, but rather, how large of a House majority will they hold after November?
But it’s not just Joe Biden’s disastrous Presidency that is causing problems for the Democrats.
Left-wing radicals, like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), are also a major problem for Democrat Party leaders in Washington, D.C.
Even though such a strategy proved catastrophic for Democrats in the 2020 elections, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez and her radical “Squad” pals are still pushing their extremist socialist agenda, including wildly unpopular policies, like defunding the police.
Speaker Pelosi is trying to stop Ocasio-Cortez and the rest of the “Squad” from causing a wipeout in November by forcing the Democrat Party too far to the Left.
Radical socialists are causing problems for more covert socialists in the Democrat Party
In a Wednesday appearance on NBC News, House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-SC) said Democrats should “stop all the sloganeering” or else they’ll certainly lose their majority this fall.
As House Majority Whip, Clyburn is one of the most powerful Democrats in Washington, D.C.
In fact, if it wasn’t for Rep. Clyburn’s endorsement of Joe Biden in his home state of South Carolina in 2020, Biden very well may have never been the Democrat Party’s nominee.
But even a leftist like Jim Clyburn knows that extremists like Ocasio-Cortez and the “Squad” are harming the Democrat Party.
“I’ve been talking to people and I can tell you people are much more interested in how they are going to navigate this life that they are trying to build, how they’re going to protect the children, how they’re going to really prepare for a more productive life,” Clyburn said when asked about the “defund the police business” some Democrats are pushing by NBC News’ Chuck Todd.
Rep. Clyburn then warned that Democrats need to stop with the “sloganeering” and discuss the real issues facing voters this fall.
“All of these sloganeering, they seem to get us in too much trouble,” Clyburn admitted. “And so I’m saying to all of my constituents and saying to my colleagues, let’s focus on people, their families, their communities, and stop all the sloganeering.”
“What can this policy do to make life better for this person, or this person’s family, and this person’s identity?” the 15-term Congressman continued. “Forget about the other stuff.”
“I think that’s what we see showing up at the polls these days,” he concluded.
And Rep. Jim Clyburn is right.
Polls show that voters oppose the left-wing “defund the police” movement, especially with crime skyrocketing across the country.
Voters are also deeply concerned about the economy, specifically out-of-control inflation, as well as Biden’s southern border crisis.
But radicals like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are only concerned with pushing their socialist agenda – even if it hurts Democrats in November.
And that is why Nancy Pelosi’s days as Speaker of the House are numbered.
