Republicans just got their hands on the smoking gun that will bring down Dr. Fauci

The new Republican majority in the House of Representatives promised to get to the bottom of the origins of the COVID 19 pandemic.

Investigators already turned up a few bombshells that will end one of the worst cover-ups in American history.

That’s because Republicans just got their hands on the smoking gun that will bring down Dr. Fauci.

A memo from Republicans on the Select Subcommittee on the Origins of the Coronavirus revealed emails that show Dr. Fauci commissioned the paper that he cited as evidence that the coronavirus originated in nature.

“New evidence released by the Select Subcommittee today suggests that Dr. Fauci ‘prompted’ the drafting of a publication that would ‘disprove’ the lab leak theory, the authors of this paper skewed available evidence to achieve that goal, and Dr. Jeremy Farrar went uncredited despite significant involvement,” the memo reads.

In the early days of the pandemic, Dr. Fauci and National Institute of Health Director Dr. Francis Collins held a call with a group of scientists that resulted in them writing a paper that falsely claimed a zoological origin for COVID19.

Dr. Faci then personally edited and approved the paper before its publication.

National Review reports:

On February 1, 2020, Fauci, then director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and Dr. Francis Collins, then director of the National Institutes of Health, held a call with several scientists to discuss the origins of the virus. A group of evolutionary virologists on the call informed Fauci and Collins that Covid may have stemmed from a lab accident and may have been genetically engineered, according to the memo.

Three days later, four of the experts who attended that meeting drafted a research document, which was forwarded to Fauci upon completion for editing and approval. The paper, later published in Nature Medicine, argued that Covid had “mutations” that supported the explanation that it had been transmitted to humans from animals.

Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton was the first to float the idea that the coronavirus escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

But the effort to knock down the lab leak theory really picked up steam once Donald Trump publicly supported the idea.

In April of 2020, Dr. Fauci then cited the paper he commissioned as evidence to “debunk” the lab leak theory.

“There was a study recently where a group of highly qualified evolutionary virologists looked at the sequences … in bats as they evolve and the mutations that it took to get to the point where it is now is totally consistent with a jump of a species from an animal to a human,” Dr. Fauci stated.

“So, the paper will be available. I don’t have the authors right now, but we can make it available to you,” Dr. Fauci added.

Of course, this was nothing more than an exercise in covering up a lie.

Dr. Fauci could not acknowledge the lab leak theory as being true because it would show he and Dr. Collins funded gain of function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology via a $600,000 grant laundered to the lab through EcoHealth Alliance.

The U.S. government funding gain of function research in Wuhan would then invite uncomfortable questions about if Drs. Fauci and Collins actually funded the research that made the pandemic possible.
