Donald Trump is facing four different criminal trials brought by Democrats.
Joe Biden’s weaponization of the justice system against Trump is one of the central issues of the Presidential campaign.
And now Ron DeSantis went on MSNBC and made this unthinkable prediction about Trump’s trial.
DeSantis trails Trump by more than 40 points in the polls and is desperate to get back in the game ahead of the Iowa Caucuses.
Since the DeSantis campaign is running low on money, part of the comeback strategy is to do as much media as possible and attack Donald Trump in the hopes that clips will go viral.
DeSantis appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe where co-host Willie Geist hit him with the typical left-wing misinformation about Trump being a criminal.
Geist then asked DeSantis if it would disqualify Donald Trump as President if one of the jury’s convicted him in the sham trials brought against him by the Biden administration.
“Do you really believe that a man who’s convicted of, say, attempting to overturn the 2020 election or taking nuclear secrets back to his beach club, do you actually still, as we sit here today, believe that person should be President?” Geist asked DeSantis.
Without hesitating, DeSantis wholeheartedly agreed and said that the GOP should take the nomination away from Trump if one of the rigged trials where a Democrat prosecutor and a Democrat Judge used a Democrat jury to return a guilty verdict against him.
“Now, do I think somebody under those circumstances could get elected President? The answer is no. That will not happen,” DeSantis said, before adding that a conviction would be “fatal in a General Election.”
DeSantis admitted he signed the Republican National Committee pledge to support the nominee no matter what as an act of political expediency and again said that Trump shouldn’t be the nominee.
“I don’t think the Party should nominate in that situation. However, you know, I signed the pledge. I’m a Republican. I don’t think it’s going to come to that, and I think we’ll get the job done like we need to, but the reality is, I signed it and that’s what I did.”
Conservatives weren’t happy with DeSantis’ performance.
Ever since Alvin Bragg indicted Trump, DeSantis refused to speak out against the obviously politically-motivated charges against him.
Federalist co-founder Sean Davis noted that DeSantis, a Harvard-trained lawyer who should know better, never stopped to correct Geist on how the Biden Justice Department invented crimes that don’t exist in order to charge Trump for contesting the results of the 2020 election or indicted him for behavior in the Mar-a-Lago document case that the Obama Justice Department let Hillary Clinton get away with.
Is DeSantis running for the Democrat nomination? If not, his recitation of false and deranged left-wing talking points denying the total corruption of DOJ and FBI make absolutely zero sense.
Such a great governor, and such a terrible candidate. https://t.co/T8z9GUNgjG

After the Democrats began showering indictments down on Donald Trump, he gained in the polls in part because Republicans saw the criminal charges as a means to interfere in the election.
But DeSantis’ numbers also went down because many conservatives saw his failure to speak out against the weaponization of the justice system as a sign that he didn’t really know what time it was.
