Democrats hoped to sink Trump over his affair with Stormy Daniels.
But now things are looking pretty bad for her attorney.
And Stormy Daniels’ creepy porn lawyer and thorn in Trump’s side just got the worst news of his life.
The corporate-controlled media was desperate for anything to take down Donald Trump.
That’s why they elevated Stormy Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti by giving him over 250 cable TV appearances.
Avenatti was even touted as a potential 2020 Presidential contender by the corporate-controlled media.
He was a major crook
As it turns out, Michael Avenatti was ripping off his clients, including Stormy Daniels.
He is currently serving a five year prison sentence for stealing nearly $300,000 in book proceeds from Stormy Daniels as well as trying to extort $25 million from Nike.
But his crimes didn’t stop there.
One of Avenatti’s clients was awarded a $4 million settlement after becoming paralyzed.
Avenatti used those funds to finance his coffee business and only paid the client “advances” of no more than $1900 at a time.
He ripped off another client who received a $3 million settlement and used the money for a private jet.
He lied to that client and said the settlement was being paid out in monthly installments.
He also owed over $3 million in unpaid payroll taxes to the IRS from his coffee business and he tried to obstruct the IRS’s collection process.
Now Avenatti is going away for a long time.
As a result of these crimes, he pleaded guilty to four counts of wire fraud and one count of trying to obstruct the administration of the federal tax code.
He received an additional 14 years in federal prison in addition to the five he was previously sentenced to.
Judge James V. Selna also ordered him to pay nearly $11 million in restitution to four clients he stole from and to the IRS.
United States Attorney Martin Estrada released a statement saying “Michael Avenatti was a corrupt lawyer who claimed he was fighting for the little guy. In fact, he only cared about his own selfish interests. He stole millions of dollars from his clients – all to finance his extravagant lifestyle that included a private jet and race cars. As a result of his illegal acts, he has lost his right to practice law in California, and now he will serve a richly deserved prison sentence.”
Avenatti’s attorney Dean Steward called the sentence “overly harsh” claiming, “when compared with similar high-profile cases, the unfairness is glaring.”
Of course, that couldn’t be further from the truth.
All too often, we see leftist elites like Avenatti get away with crimes and receive lenient sentences.
What Avenatti did was despicable.
He stole from people who had suffered life-altering injuries.
In this case, justice was served and richly deserved.
