For more than six years, the Deep State three-letter agencies have been on a witch hunt to ensnare Donald Trump.
Their latest attempt came in the form of the FBI raiding the former President’s personal residence in Mar-a-Lago.
But in their attempt to “get Trump,” the FBI may have just turned him into a living martyr.
The raid heard round the world
If Donald Trump wasn’t planning on running for a second term in the White House, the FBI may have just changed his mind.
Last Monday, over two dozen FBI agents raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.
In the process, they seized about 12 boxes of materials.
The raid was the FBI’s answer to the question of whether the former President Trump violated the Presidential Records Act when he left office in January of 2017 by bringing documents, some of which may have been classified, with him from the Oval Office.
The Presidential Records Act requires the preservation of written communications like memos, letters, and emails related to a President’s official duties.
Trump attorney, Rudy Giuliani, has called the move unprecedented.
In an interview on Louder with Crowder, America’s Mayor also said agents had been by the residence the prior week and only asked that an extra lock be added to the room containing the records – which the Trump team accommodated with a lock provided by the Secret Service.
Trump has said he welcomes the release of the seized documents – almost daring Attorney General Merrick Garland in a Truth Social post to do so.
FBI backfire
Now, a new survey from the Trafalgar Group shows the move by the FBI may have backfired.
The poll found Americans are now more likely to vote in the 2022 Midterms than they were before the raid.
In fact, 70.4% of respondents said the raid has increased their motivation to cast a ballot this November.
A deeper dive into the numbers show this new enthusiasm is incredibly weighed in favor of the GOP.
83.3% of Republicans are now more fired up for November, compared to just 55.2% of Democrats.
Meanwhile, 71.7% of independents say the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago has made them more likely to vote in the midterms.
But are the independents motivated by the raid more likely to vote for candidates with Rs or Ds after their names?
When asked why they believe the FBI raided Trump’s home, Republicans (76.7%) and independents (53.9%) said the former President was targeted by political enemies.
Whereas 70.5% of Democrats said the raid was a result of an impartial justice system.
“Independent and Republican voters are united in their outrage about this unprecedented and tragic event in American history,” said Mark Meckler, President of Convention of States. “It’s clear to voters that the FBI raid is designed to punish the primary political enemy of the regime in power. This Gestapo-style injustice has created a voting surge that is so significant, the polling doesn’t even begin to reflect what is coming from grassroots voters in November.”
