According to many legal experts the FBI is in full-blown panic mode.
And they are scurrying to cover their bases before the hammer drops.
Because it turns out the real reason for the FBI raid on Donald Trump is more infuriating than we thought.
Americans were shocked to see the banana republic-style FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.
The attack was unprecedented in American history and showed the true nature of a politicized and weaponized national police force that has been running amok for decades.
Their assault on a former U.S. President was the culmination of decades of Democrat takeover of the Bureau.
The FBI is trying to cover their tracks
And now, to make matters worse, many political observers and pundits are convinced there was more to the raid than meets the eye.
In fact, columnist Lee Smith, author of The Plot Against the President: The True Story of How Congressman Devin Nunes Uncovered the Biggest Political Scandal in U.S. History, said many trusted colleagues and peers of his believe the FBI’s raid of former President Donald Trump was a search for documents related to its “Russiagate” surveillance of Trump.
In other words, the FBI was out to “cover its butt” and find documents that might incriminate them in the attempt to take Trump down using the phony Russia collusion hoax.
Smith, appearing on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Sunday said “I think the best way to understand this is in the context of a six-year-long operation targeting Donald Trump, Donald Trump’s aides, and Donald Trump’s supporters. I have different colleagues and people whose insight and whose wisdom I trust very much, and they believe that what the FBI was looking for were documents related to . . . what the FBI called the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, but what most most of the rest of us know as the Russiagate operation meant to target candidate Trump, then President-elect Trump, and then President Donald J. Trump.”
Smith also pointed out that many of the FBI agents involved in leading and organizing the raid on Mar-a-Lago have been involved in the FBI’s investigation of Trump for years.
These FBI agents are out to get Trump
He mentioned a report from RealClearInvestigations titled “FBI Unit Leading Mar-a-Lago Probe Earlier Ran Discredited Trump-Russia Investigation.”
He said we should view the FBI’s raid of Mar-a-Lago “as part of something that started in the spring and summer of 2016 . . . or perhaps earlier,” and added, “This was the effort to get Donald Trump.”
The FBI’s surveillance of Trump early on was likely known about by former President Barack Obama as it started during the Obama administration.
“We need to remember these [are] intelligence agencies that Hillary Clinton was using to spy on the Trump campaign and to smear the Trump campaign,” Smith said. “This was in the Obama administration. There is no way that any of this happened without the White House knowing about it.”
Get Trump but protect Hunter at all costs
Recently whistleblowers within the FBI and U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) provided information to Senator Chuck Grassley’s (R-IA) office about political and partisan internal efforts to suppress information about Hunter Biden.
And because of this, the lead agent on the Hunter Biden case “resigned” from the FBI last recently and was escorted out of the building.
The news has been damning to the once proud Bureau.
It is now obvious to every fair-minded American that the FBI threw the 2020 election to Joe Biden by covering up Hunter Biden’s crimes.
But the existence of whistleblowers within the FBI and DOJ could now lead to some restraint among the FBI’s worst “anti-Trump” operatives due to fear of exposure for their actions.
Or at least we can hope that’s the response, until the GOP grows some courage and defunds, or shuts down, the FBI for good.
