The RNC is making stunning concessions to MAGA Republicans that even Donald Trump didn’t see coming

Dec 5, 2022

Going back to 2016, there has been a war waging within the Republican Party.

On one side was the base and Donald Trump, while RINOs and power-hungry establishment members formed the other side.

Now the Republican National Committee is making concessions to MAGA Republicans that are so stunning, not even Donald Trump saw them coming.

Hope and change in the GOP?

Following the disappointing results of the 2022 Midterms, many high-profile conservatives have been calling for new blood in Republican leadership.

And the base feels the same way.

A recent Trafalgar survey found 71.6% of Americans believe Republicans need a new leadership team in the wake of a discouraging election cycle.

And even more Republicans, 73.4%, want their party to freshen things up in its top positions.

Meanwhile, a recent Rasmussen poll came to a similar conclusion.

According to the Rasmussen survey, just 16% of conservatives blame individual candidates for 2022 shortcomings.

Another 20% blamed former President Donald Trump.

But more than twice that, a clear plurality of 43% say the fault lies with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel.

More of the same

But the GOP isn’t listening to its base.

Both McConnell and McCarthy have been appointed back to their respective positions in leadership – and by huge numbers, with only about a third of the caucus voting against each of them.

Meanwhile, there is at least a 50/50 chance Ronna McDaniel will remain as the head of the Republican National Committee, though MyPillow Guy Mike Lindell has announced he’s running against McDaniel.

And there are rumors swirling around the beltway that Rep. Lee Zeldin – who almost pulled off the biggest political upset in modern history in his campaign against New York Gov. Kathy Hochul – is also considering a challenge to McDaniel.

MAGA Republicans to the rescue

McDaniel isn’t going to go down with a fight.

In an effort to obtain another term as Chair of the RNC, McDaniel is trying to win over the Trump wing of the party.

She has just added some America First Republicans to advisory positions within the RNC, including names like Kellyanne Conway, Rep-elect John James of Michigan, Rep-elect Monica De La Cruz of Texas, and Blake Masters who fell short in his bid to flip the U.S. Senate seat in Arizona against Democrat incumbent Sen. Mark Kelly.

Senator-elect Katie Britt of Alabama, Florida Congressman Carlos Giminez, Rep. Michelle Steel of California and former House candidate Madison Gesiotto Gilbert of Ohio were also added to the RNC Advisory Council.

According to McDaniel, the council is meant to “continue the success (Republicans) saw in 2022” and “inform the Republican Party’s 2024 vision and beyond.”

The “success” McDaniel must be referring to would have to be the GOP going from five seats down to Democrats in the People’s Chamber to a four-seat advantage in the House – far below expectations prior to election day.
