The World Economic Forum was left speechless over this prediction about Donald Trump

The elites have conspired against Donald Trump since he first came down the golden escalator.

But they are about to have their world turned upside down by the former President.

And the World Economic Forum was left speechless over this prediction about Donald Trump.

World leaders, business titans, and global elites all traveled to the Alpine resort town of Davos, Switzerland, for the annual World Economic Forum.

The hot topic of discussion at the gathering was the 2024 election.

Attendees were forced to confront the fact that former President Donald Trump could return to the White House.

The Carlyle Group co-founder and co-executive chairman David Rubenstein spoke at a closing panel at the forum.

The billionaire private equity executive told the stunned audience that Trump would in all likelihood win “if the election were held today.”

Globalist elites are nervous about Donald Trump winning the election

Bloomberg Television’s Francine Lacqua revealed that world leaders are panicking about Trump winning with a question to Rubenstein.

“David, a number of leaders have expressed concern of what Donald Trump in the White House means for fragmentation, for foreign policy. Is there any way that the rest of the world can Trump-proof their economies?” Lacqua asked.

“Ummm, if somebody has a way to do that, I think they should patent it and probably sell it to somebody else,” Rubenstein began. “It’d be very difficult to do.”

He pointed out that Trump’s popularity grew after he was targeted by Democrats with a series of criminal cases.

According to Rubenstein, Trump will have the Republican nomination for President locked up earlier than anyone in history for a contested race.

He explained that Trump’s nomination would be “the first time ever that a Republican Party has nominated the same person three times in a row. He clearly has a following that many of the analysts missed, and I don’t think any of the court cases are likely to change his momentum. So I think people should recognize that he’s a serious political force and should not discount the fact that he could well be elected again, despite the fact that many people in Europe, where we are now, are not really his biggest fans.”

When the criminal cases first started, the conventional wisdom was that it would be the end of his campaign.

But Trump is now polling better against President Joe Biden than at any point during the 2020 election cycle.

The race between Trump and Biden is currently a toss-up, with the former President holding a narrow edge in the RealClearPolitics polling average.

Rubenstein noted that five states are going to be crucial to the election and that Biden is trailing in all of them.

“The final comment is, in our country, in the last two Presidential elections, 45 states out of the 50 voted exactly the same way in each of those two elections. Only five states voted differently. Those five states are Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin,” Rubenstein said. “Those five states are the only ones that voted differently in those two elections. Right now, Donald Trump is ahead in all five of those states.”

The elites are slowly waking up to the fact that they could see Donald Trump win the election.
