The Biden Presidency has a lot of strikes against it – from the economy to the culture, to education, to crime.
However, the crisis President Joe Biden has created along the southern border may be the biggest disaster of the Biden Administration.
And now this deadly trend at the border is making Americans wish Donald Trump got his wall.
A record-breaking border crisis
Despite Vice President Kamala Harris declaring everything is just hunky dory on the southern border, all the evidence points to the contrary.
In fact, it’s beyond crisis level.
Preliminary Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) numbers from August have just been released.
And while we’re still waiting for full numbers, there are some troubling signs in the preliminary numbers from last month.
First of all, the total number of encounters between illegal migrants and border patrol agents this year alone has now surpassed 2,000,000.
All of those illegal aliens are an expensive proposition for American workers.
The Federation for American Immigration Reform estimates illegals released into the U.S. under President Joe Biden will cost American taxpayers an additional $20.4 billion annually.
Terror on the southern border
Making matters even worse, unlike what open-borders Democrats would have you believe, these are not all hard working men and women looking to better themselves in the Land of Opportunity.
The fact is, the CBP report for August reveals that 12 people who are on the terrorist watch list were caught at the border last month.
That brings the total number for the year to at least 78.
That’s more than six-dozen suspected terrorists caught trying to enter the U.S. across our underfunded and undermanned southern border.
Former President Donald Trump’s wall is starting to sound even better to most Americans and polling shows immigration consistently ranking as one of the top concerns for voters heading into the Midterm elections this November.
To put the 78 terror watch list apprehensions so far in 2022 in perspective during the entirety of the four-year Trump Administration, there were only 11 such catches.
In President Joe Biden’s first full year sitting in the Oval Office, there were just 15.
While you may be tempted to look at those numbers and suggest maybe Biden’s team is just doing a better job catching the suspected terrorist, tthe 78 figure doesn’t count for “getaways.”
“Those are the ones that Border Patrol put their hands on,” Rodney Scott, former chief of the Border Patrol said.
CBP projects for about every five illegal immigrants they catch, one escapes.
Going by that ratio, it’s possible about 16 people on the terror watch list have made it into this country in 2022.
The explosion in terrorist suspects attempting to enter the U.S. through our porous southern border comes as the Biden Administration continues to roll back Trump era border security regulations.
