The GOP will be taking control of the U.S. House, that is all but certain now.
So everyone’s eyes are now on key Senate races to see what happens there.
And Trump-endorsed Senate candidate Blake Masters just got a huge boost from this major player.
As inept and prone to sell out the Republicans have been this year, the Democrats have been worse.
Even as the economy crashes around them, Joe Biden and the Democrats are too busy trying to force socialism on the nation to see the damage they are doing.
But the American people can see how bad things are.
Democrats are to blame for inflation
As the “Red Tsunami” continues to grow, Republican donors and PACs are taking a second look at a number of Senate races they first thought unwinnable.
As one consultant said, “The American people know that Democrats are to blame for inflation and the state of the economy. So much so we are talking about possible GOP wins in Blue states like Oregon and Connecticut, so we had better be doubling down in Arizona.”
And that is exactly what is happening.
Trump-backed candidate Kari Lake is running away with the Governor’s race in the Grand Canyon State, and Trump favorite Blake Masters is polling within the margin of error of incumbent Democrat Senator Mark Kelly in the Senate race.
That has caused at least one major conservative PAC to jump into Arizona and jump in hard.
The Club for Growth recently unleashed a $5.5 million ad blitz to aid Masters’ bid to oust Senator Mark Kelly.
The Club said last week they would spend a whopping $5.5 million mostly on television ads over the last two weeks of the election.
Club for Growth president David McIntosh said the economic conservative activist group has been focused mainly on Kelly’s negatives.
Fried by higher prices
The Club unleashed their latest ad titled simply “Fried.”
The hard-hitting ad explains Kelly’s complicity in the nation’s historic high inflation, which is harming Arizonans even more than most other Americans.
“This is your wallet with Mark Kelly in the Senate, fried by higher prices,” the narrator says in the Club for Growth Action ad.
The ad shows a wallet being fried in a frying pan, “Cooked up when Kelly followed Biden’s recipe of reckless spending, printing trillions we don’t have, causing prices in Arizona to boil higher than almost any other state.”
The Club’s investment in Arizona follows a $3.7 million ad campaign by Saving Arizona, a Super PAC financed by tech billionaire Peter Thiel.
Another McConnell blunder?
Together, these efforts hope to bring Masters across the finish line after GOP Senate leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) wrote off the race months ago.
The Senate Leadership Fund (SLF), a Mitch McConnell (R-KY) Super PAC, has not spent significant sums in Arizona on behalf of Masters.
This is despite most astute political observers realizing this was a target race for anyone serious about the GOP taking back the Senate.
Instead, McConnell seems laser-focused on saving left-wing RINO Lisa Murkowski in her bid for reelection in Alaska.
Murkowski, who has been a major problem for both the Trump forces, and conservatives, is facing a real nail-biter due to the great campaign by conservative stalwart and Trump-endorsed Kelly Tshibaka.
McConnell has spent close to $5 million in Alaska, not only to support the leftist Murkowski, but also to attack Tshibaka.
This has earned McConnell an official censure by the Alaska GOP.
Many are starting to wonder if McConnell has lost his once keen political sense.
One thing is for certain, with Club for Growth’s help, if Blake Masters wins in Arizona he won’t owe Mitch McConnell anything but scorn.
