Tucker Carlson always presented himself as a supporter of Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again agenda.
But now Trump supporters are confused.
And Tucker Carlson said Donlad Trump can’t be President again for this one reason.
In Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit against Fox News, text messages from Tucker Carlson emerged from January 6 where he declared that he “hated” Donald Trump and ripped him as a menace to the agenda that he and others support.
Trump said Carlson later called him to apologize and said that he only lashed out in a momentary flash of anger.
But Carlson’s feelings about Trump are once again under a microscope.
During an interview with Barstool Sports founder and owner Dave Portnoy, Carlson said he agreed “100 hundred percent” that Trump – as well as Joe Biden – was too old to be President.
The conversation began with Portnoy saying he thought Trump should have appeared at the first GOP Presidential debate.
“I thought he should’ve done the debate,” Portnoy declared.
“To become President, I think it was the right move not to do it, but for the betterment of the country, I think he should be in the debate,” Portnoy added.
Carlson agreed with Portnoy, but he also thought Trump had a point in skipping the debate due to Fox News Channel’s bias against him.
“I kind of agree. I like the debates, personally. The problem is that the news companies that host the debates are so rotten and corrupt, and everybody knows it. The whole thing is rotten and corrupt,” Carlson added.
Carlson then asked Portnoy if he thought Biden would be the Democrat nominee for President in 2024.
Portnoy pointed to the recent media coverage of the AP-NORC poll showing 77 percent of Americans think Joe Biden is too old to serve as President as evidence of a shift underway that he believes is part of the Democrat Party’s scheme to switch out Biden for a more electable nominee.
“I don’t know, I’m not a political person, but I feel like there’s been a shift where, internally, maybe the Democrats don’t think he can win and they’re setting the stage to do somebody else,” Portnoy stated.
Portnoy then claimed that the 81-year-old Biden and the 77-year-old Trump were too old to be President.
“To be honest, I think both Trump and Biden are too old. I don’t think you should be able to be that old and be President,” Portnoy continued.
Carlson surprisingly agreed that Trump was too old to be President.
“I agree 100%,” Carlson responded.
Since the conversation quickly shifted when Portnoy expressed his belief that Biden suffered from serious “dementia issues,” Carlson never got to explain what he meant by Trump being too old.
