Hillary Clinton famously helped cost herself the 2016 election by smearing millions of Americans as “deplorables.”
But Democrats are repeating Hillary’s catastrophic mistake as the 2024 election heats up.
And what Nancy Pelosi said about Trump supporters will leave you red with rage.
In an interview with Bloomberg reporter Francine Lacqua, Pelosi decried Donald Trump as a cancer on society and smeared his 74,000,000 voters as fearful bigots.
At one point after Pelosi decaled Trump’s presence in American politics a “cancerous situation,” Lacqua responded by pointing out that he was “popular with the voters.”
“Well, he’s popular with his group,” Pelosi sneered.
Pelosi then attacked a large portion of Trump supporters as racist, sexist, homophobic bigots who delighted in expressing their prejudice against their fellow Americans.
“It’s interesting to see how there’s a certain element of the population who would just go for him,” Pelosi ranted.
Pelosi then claimed Democrats could never win over who she baselessly attacked as closed-minded bigots.
“They’re people we would probably never get. They don’t share our values in terms of respect for the dignity and worth of every person and the rest,” Pelosi raged.
Pelosi then claimed Democrats could win over voters who are fearful of the Left’s woke agenda if they would just realize how wonderful it was that the Left intended to sexualize their children into transgenderism and make reverse racism an official government policy.
“But there are some who are supporting him who are just afraid,” Pelosi added. “They don’t see a place for their families in the future.”
“They’re concerned about globalization, they’re concerned about immigration, they’re concerned about innovation. They’re concerned about diversity, women, minorities, LGBTQ, other people coming into the leadership arena, and that’s to be respected.”
These comments echo what Pelosi said in the past when she attacked Trump as a thug and his supporters as cultists.
“You’re not a cult to a thug. You’re a great, Grand Old Party — and recapture that,” Pelosi declared.
“So hopefully, as soon as we get through this, shall we say, cancerous situation that we’re in — the malignancy of Trump — they will emerge in a strong way with the leadership that I know is there in the Republican Party,” Pelosi added. “Not necessarily in the Congress, but in the country.”
If Nancy Pelosi really wants to win back the working-class vote that defected to the Democrat Party during the Trump years, then she has a funny way of showing it.
